Ugh, Wrong time of the season for our guys to go into a losing streak. We're 3 of our last 11. Ugh. :(

We were lucky to win at all tonight and have to face the vaunted powerhouse of Big M next.

Come on guys, one long winning streak! It's not too late. 8-)

Yep Joe (almost). A blown save in the bottom of the 9th or I woulda had the sweep. In fact, several times lately that's happened to me, two wins and the third game lose by a run.

Meanwhile, Silvers team is hot. I've been watching him since we're vying for the WC, but despite my good play in the last week I haven't gained any ground there. In fact, QK has NOW caught C2.

As far as Big goes, he's only had 1 blip on the radar all season and that didn't last long. He's 5 games up on the next best records (Me/C2/QK).

Yes, the offense is weak. But thankfully we have enjoyed the league's best pitching (by far), and the second-best team defense. And surprisingly I have the 4th most HR's in the league. So we're a bit like Earl Weaver's Orioles.

Hey, I am the king of the 3-run HRs around here Big!!! :P

Speaking of Earl, the manager I grew up on, it really doesn't get any better than this:

Warning: do not play at work or in mixed company!

And yeah, where has the Chuckster been lately? No use lookin' in your rear-view anymore Chucky, I'm right there with you now! We got a nice little drag race to the finish line from here on out... 8-) 8-) 8-)

for kicks and grins, here are the updated ratings. I didn't go back and correct the RP IP (or roster moves) so the ratings may have changed one or two spots from what is shown here.

Hawk and Big A continue to be upside-down. Big A has to be the unluckiest team I've ever seen. No way he should be this bad. Hawk's pitching has come back some, but still is over performing by a good margin.

Warrior and to a lesser extent Smokey, are making the most of their run differentials.

Silver is real close on the O and D comparisons so his team must have good Karma.

AT has the best run Diff, but the 8th best record so he must have bad karma (and an underperforming offense)

BigM and C2 are right on track on every rating.

Jeep's pitching is a little low, but it hasn't seemed to faze him. Seems to be making the most of his narrow run diff too.

We're a little below in every category (but not too much) but lousy in Run diff. We've been lucky to stay close with that differential. Hopefully we can close that gap and make up some ground.

Smokey offense is good, pitching is bad (opposite of what *should* happen) and his record has suffered. Although, his Run Diff is about right. He's scoring when he needs to.

Stoney is another hard luck team. Ah, there it is. Look at that 15-28 one run record. Ouch.

33 Games to play, here are my fearless, ratings-based predictions:

Big M will hold on in the West. Jeep will make a run for the WC and we'll continue to flirt with .500. Big A?? Who the heck knows. He could be a spoiler for Jeep and my WC chances, but it appears this team is just cursed.

In the Central, the ratings would way that Hawk's pitching will continue to come back to Earth and that AT will overtake the other two clubs.

In the west Silver has been good in one runners (+6) while C2 is only a game over .500. Ratings say that C2 pulls away if the breaks even out.

The WC is pretty open with all but two teams either in first place or within 5 games of the WC and two teams are tied for the spot right now. Given the current situation, Jeep has the highest rating of those competing for that spot, but if Big A begins to play to form it would open the way for Silver or one of the other teams hanging on. Don't count out Niners or our squad in that race if they can hit a hot streak.

Good stuff Joe, thanks. 8-)

Jeep has been kind enough to provide our lads with some bulletin board material for tonight's series. We'll be travelling back to the "colonies" with a bit of a chip on our shoulders.

Wow! Nice to see you guys are still going strong. Hope everyone is well. I've been looking to get back in some leagues, hopefully a spot will open up for me here sometime as I miss the top notch competition and friendly rivalries.

Now I gotta go and learn how to play this game again!

It's a Korkie sighting!!

Good to hear from you. Glad you're getting back into TSN. :)

For you newbie NLDers, Korkie was an original NLDer and participated in NLDs 1-12, posted nearly 1000 wins, and had 5 playoff appearances.

You would certainly be welcome if and when a spot opens up! 8-)
