No. The draft is set up so that you cannot draft someone that will make you have less than .50 left for your 25th player.

You must live draft 25 players and put those 25 players on your AD card. After the AD you may drop down to 24 players if you wish.

Woody Woodward - my favorite backup middle IF guy in regular leagues
Tommy Helms, Andy Kosco, Bob Tillman (in a HR park), Maury Wills, etc.

I think we have been doing great, proxy or no proxy. This has been one of the fastest live drafts I've been a part of.
