Munich Man's 12-League ATGIV Invitational

Mission Accomplished!!

Postby ArrylT » Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:41 am

The Montreal Royals would like to announce the successful completion of our main, publicly stated, goal.

Many of our beloved readers may recall this previous article:

[quote:e63520b54e]We spoke to several ballplayers currently playing in Munich, and they paint a different story. Unfortunately we decided not to publish their names, due to their request, as they were concerned about violent reprisals to their families. Munich Management has been noted for their harsh means in the past, and it is rumoured that goons funded by the MM Corporation were key in breaking up the last SOM Player Cards strike. [/quote:e63520b54e]

In any case, the main goal of the Montreal Royals this season was to act as a Munich killer. We are pleased to announce the successful competion of this goal! 8-)

The Montreal Royals, won 2 of 3 last night, and have finished their regular season schedule against Munich Viermeisters with a very impressive 16-8 record. Although it is not likely that the Viermeisters will lose 100 games, as previously predicted, they are pretty much a lock for 90 losses and the Royals take pride in helping to achieve this result.

What's really frustrating is my 15-28 record in one-run games. My Pythagorean (man, I HATE Pythagoras!!!) is 10 games better than my actual record.

At least I'm getting my doubles. Not the record-breaking pace (for ATGIII) that I hoped for, but a good chance to make at least 3rd or fourth place. Maybe hold first place for ATGIV for a while once the records get posted.

Nice job Arryl.

Well despite my team falling back to earth during the 2nd half of the season we've still been able to clinch a playoff spot & a winning record ... has been a fun season watching Kiner & the crew rack up HRs and Ks. :)

How many left after Charlie? Hopefully we can re-gain some momentum and have this full perhaps for a Canadian Thanksgiving start (Oct 13th). ;)
