Good summary, JP. That's what I thought the rules were. I know Marge won't be back for awhile, but I would encourage everyone else to declare their team selection as soon as they can so others can get an idea of the guys who will be off-limits.

True. Once we figure out who is available for our franchise, we'll each probably be left with relatively short list of players we want to target in the draft. With any luck, that will make for a very efficient draft.

Why don't we keep rankings of managers using a barnstormers format? - 1 point for a regular season win, 5 points for a playoff berth, 5 points for making the finals and 10 points for a championship.

We can also keep rankings of the franchises using the same scoring system. That way we'll know if the Yankees really have an advantage over everyone else or if the Twins are really at a big disadvantage.

I'll post rankings for managers and franchises after each season wraps up.

my guess is nearly every protected team will come from the EXP era due to cheap players
