[i:dd968774e4]Any idea when 2006 (2005 season) will be available online? [/i:dd968774e4]

Most likely mid-march based on the last 3 years.

With only 42 at-bats, he won't have a card in the TSN game. For what it's worth, he looks like a 6R - mediocre against lefties and good vs. righties.

2006 Strat Online

Postby bleacher_creature » Wed Feb 08, 2006 3:28 pm

Welcome to the "Post-Rhoids Strat-O-Matic Era".

I see a lot of guys so far who lack pop against a weak side in particular. Delgado looks like a DH platoon vs RHPs for example. Worthless vs LHPs.

I am eager to see the TSN price structure. I wonder if they will take the many one sided cards into account. Platoons are definitely going to be called for. I can't remember a Strat season where so many cards have been so weak on one side. If they get the salaries right, it could be a very interesting season. A lot of different combinations and strategies are potentially out there.

I just got my rating disk (mailed January 19!!!!) so can't comment but if the pricing takes into account the platoon nature of the cards that should make guys like Carpenter less expensive as he'll get plaatooned to death.

I don't know...but I think Clemens should have the best card in the set. Did you see his numbers??? I read that he had a career best in ERA and his WHIP was like 0.87 or something.

Clemens is the best starter, yes.

There's lots of lefty killers:
M. Alou
Sexson
Sheffield
Bay
Francoeur (257 AB)
D. Lee (also a righty killer
L. Castillo
F. Thomas (105 AB; DH only)
B. Molina
V. Wells
D. Bell
Cirillo (185 AB)
Varitek
LeCroy
H. Matsui
J. Peralta
D. Wright
Barrett

Reversie lefties, besides Matsui, include Edmonds, N. Johnson, Ichiro!, Damon, T. Walker and Casey.

Hafner and D. Ortiz can both hit lefties well this year, which may be a first.
