Inaugural rules:
1. A 56-round draft will be conducted where 12 teams will draft all players available in the Back to the 80s game, as well as two ballparks.
2. The draft will take place on penngray’s live draft site. It will be a snake draft (1st-12th, 12th-1st, etc.) Draft order will be determined by Pick 3 draw on date to be announced. LOWEST pick 3 number will have first pick, etc.
3. Teams must be able to create a valid TSN roster at the start of and during every season. There are not minimum or maximum number of players to be owned by teams, as long as a valid roster can be created.
4. Teams are free to use any of their 54 players anyway they choose.
- There is no limit on transactions with your own players. You can add/drop your own players as often as you like.
- The only way players or their rights can be transferred between teams is through trade.
- Any trade agreed upon by the parties is valid.
- Players on a roster can be traded for players not on a roster. It is up to the two trading owners to negotiate how the non-roster player will be transferred to the other teams’ roster (that is, which team will pick him up).
- A player traded from one team’s roster or non-roster can be put on the receiving team’s roster or be a non-roster player.
5. Two ballparks will be drafted by every team. No two teams can own the same ballpark. Ballparks CAN be traded, however every team must own 2 ballparks at all times (if a park is traded another park must be traded in return). Teams must choose what park they will be using in Season 1 and will need to keep that park for Season 2. If a team chooses to switch parks, there other park must be used for a minimum of two consecutive seasons. Any ballpark used, including a park traded for, must be used for a minimum of two consecutive seasons. A team cannot trade a park they have only used for one season.
6. Season 1 divisions will be determined by draft order: (E: 1, 4, 7, 10; C: 2, 5, 8, 11; W: 3,6, 9, 12). Every subsequent season’s divisions will be determined by the previous season’s final standings (playoff teams in East; teams with 4 worst records in West; remaining 4 teams in Central).
7. Rules will be reviewed after Season 1 and Season 2.
