No way would I drop Lemon for Moseby. Lemon hits righty's...in fact he's better against righty's on 3 of his 5 cards. Also...Harrah is a keeper...definitely a keeper. Socalchiro...you really improved your team OBP tremendously (which I personally believe is more important in this game than slugging). I do agree with Mike...you could use one more lefty. Perhaps a no "D" DH type like Easler (of course Gamble...the perfect choice...will already be taken).

To answer your bullpen question...here is my advice. Drop Cambell for a cheaper option. Also...lose Allen for a lower WHIP reliever. In this game, low WHIP pitchers are very important. I'd lose DeLeon in a hurry (basically...he sucks) for a cheaper low WHIP option.

Use the money saved aboove to try Easler, Greenwell, Gibson, Aikens, Kemp...etc. Power lefty's...cheap...DH types.

DOH...just noticed...you ar in a no DH league. Forget the DH thing above.

So... you will want a lefty or two to add to the roster as pinch hitters for your pitching staff. All .75 guys are a crap-shoot, but a good place to start finding a winner is with: Meyer, Bush, Heep, Putnam.

Oh, by the way... I'd lose Iorg for a better option at 3B/2B emergency back-up...is Bailor or Buechelle around?

You may want to start the season with an extra .75 reliever too. HAL will churn through more relievers in a no DH league.

Possible *SP's...(By WHIP)

Hoyt
Bosio
Wegman
Gullickson
B. Forsch
Sanderson
Alexander
Morris
Hough
Witt
Candiotti

Bailor and Buechelle are gone. I thought Iorg had the best bat available.
Other options @ 3B:

3 defense or better:
Anderson
Newman
Speier
Schu
Romero
Reynolds
Pryor
Foli
Hoffman

I picked up Meyer, btw. Only bat that you mentioned left.

Should I dump Davis (C) and pick up Kennedy as another lefty bat for my lineup?

Kennedy is super... and a good value. I only have 3 current teams running, and he is my catcher on all 3. Check out his production and decide. By the way, all 3 teams play in Dodger stadium...a pitchers park:

I've had luck with Romero in the past and he leans to the right. Now that you have Meyer though, you have a third base back-up, and second base back-up is already set. Is there another good lefty hitter on FA? Can you get Orsulak back? Is Sheriden around to act as defensive replacement for Pedro in right?

As far as SP*...I'd take Hoyt 100% of the time over DeLeon.

The boards have eyes and ears....heheh

Hoyt is gone now.

I grabbed Kennedy for Davis. Decent enough #'s for the price. Especially nice start on that NY Stratzilla team.

Orsulak is around, but is costly. Are you thinking I need him? And where will he play?

No go on Sheridan, he's also gone.

So, no go on any of the other SP's?

btw- Thanks for all of your help Jimmy C.

It was well into the works last night. When I traded Eck for Forsch, He told me that he was picking up hoyt. (If I didn't get A SP that I liked better than hoyt, I was probably going to have to dump eck for hoyt myself last night.

I am superjealous that you got ripken with the top pick, I debated Ripken or trammel for a bit and decided to save the $500K for NOTHING - I think 8 people wanted him and I ended up getting concepcion out of it with nothing better on the horizon since I knew you were getting cal.

Maybe I'm crazy but I like to announce who I'm taking if I've got the 1st. waiver pick.

My thinking is...Who cares? It's a community here and we're suppose to have fun right?

It makes it easier for others in my league to adjust if they have to.

I am usually hush-hush when I don't have that #1 pick though... :? :?

Don't get me wrong - I have no problem that you got ripken. I am just upset at myself for not selecting ripken in the first round instead of going after trammel. Apparently everyone went for Trammel and I listed him 5th giving me no shot at him or apparently anyone good at the position.

Good luck, I think your team is looking good.

No prob helping Socal...I had a lot of help from guys on these boards when I first started...just paying it forward.

I thought you had Orsulak on your team earlier...my mistake, it was someone else. No...he is too expensive to sit on the bench and wait to pinch hit.

Too bad you missed Hoyt...you might try Petry...he is usually around. Or Witt or Gubzica.

Your team looks good...if nothing else, you shouldn't nose dive. :D
