We have my Strat "teacher" here in my division who I'm going to try to surpass. Last time I played with him in a league (in ATG) he taught me a lesson. Let's see how it goes this time.

My team is a complete disaster right now. I need a major overhaul. Plus, I am in the unique position of being in a total pitchers' park with three other hitters' parks. Any advice on whether I go heavy on pitching or try to let my ballpark take over and try to match the hitting?

You got unlucky last time. I'm not happy that you're in my division. I'm not off to a good start, I'll tell you that. :(

Look who's got the top pick, which tells you a little about how the draft went for me. Geez, what a mess. One of the odd constraints here is that I got stuck with two catchers I don't want, which I can fix but I can't dump either of the dudes until after waivers due to the requirement that we have two catchers on the roster at all times.

Well, it's been a very active waiver wire so far.

I'm not all that happy with the squad, it's not a great fit for my park, but best I can do with the league the way it's set up.

I'm not that ecstatic about my team either, Jet. I'm not sure exactly how to fix it, either through trade or FAs, but both have been quite unsuccessful so far. I have, potentially, the worst SS duo ever in Theriot and Izturis.


I think the team name to which you are referring is the ZZ Tophatters, not Tophaters. :P

Yeah, that's a pretty weak SS platoon. Guess you're not interested in Gonzalez or one of the more expensive guys eh?

What are you going to do with Anderson? You already have Ortiz to DH.

Did he change his team name? I thought for sure they were the "haters"!

I messed up with the name. Its corrected now.

Right now Anderson is my main pinch hitter and emergency backup OF/1B/2B. I'm looking around to see if I can add a different SS. I'm targeting one of the more expensive guys, but I'm not sure I can make it work.

I'm also looking into moving Hamels and Escobar to pick up another top-shelf SP* and a mid-level non-SP* (a la Lincecum).
