I expect to see a few more moves before things get rolling on Monday. I've been pretty disappointed by the trades so far. Two very minor deals?! That's not what the fans want!!! Where are those blockbusters?

I'd be interested in hearing what the experts say about the future. I just know I lose! Looking back, I moved heaven and earth to get Isringhausen and watched him blow up twice in the 9th on the first night. Dreadful.

I'm still not sure if your philosophy of Gallardo and Hampson to eat up the middle relief innings will pan out. Honestly, I think HAL will totally under-utilize Gallardo because he's a starter/reliever rather than just a reliever. I could see HAL abusing those sub $2M guys instead, which I'm sure you don't want. We shall see ...

I'm already worried about HAL ignoring my decision to stick Gallardo in the 'pen. There were two situations last night when I think if I I would have stuck Gallardo in the game, and HAL didn't do it. Shields is hardly a dream RH setup man, to be sure.

I think the concept is fair enough, with two decent middle guys who can go 3 or 4 innings, but you're probably right--HAL may well not use Gallardo. I'll watch and may be looking for a trading partner sooner rather than later.

I'll give some thoughts as soon as I get a chance to really look at everyone else teams. I do know the West is tough, but, despite their hot start, I think Bama is the weakest of the division. (not that they're bad)

More to come. Someone else throw out some thoughts in the mean time.

Should have swept you tonight. You hit a 1-2 HR to tie the game in the 9th with a LHB against Perez, and then Gutierrez scored on a 1-14 play at the plate. :P
