Does anybody even play this? I started a team over there and then noticed like a zillion leagues....all with 1 or no players in them! Is it that bad or what? :?

yes tons of people play this....and i have brought my brother and a few friends back to strato matic after atleast 20 years away!!!

one thing though... is do not expect to do well in your 1st league .. takes some time to learn this game

Alot of those leagues you see are ones that were formed where players left to join another league. For some reason TSN leaves them on the team page long after the creator has left for another league.

Along with goredsox advice...also be prepared to spend endless hours planning and plotting lineups and pitching matchups....be prepared to spend everyones hard earned cash on buying teams and fabricating stories to girlfriend, wife about why $25 keeps showing up on credit card bill. Be prepared to face the wrath of girlfriend or wife when spending tons of her quality time on the computer......just some advice.

mlayers...I do that now for ATG II. All I can do is hang my head look down and tell her..."I'm so ashamed!" :( ok...not really! But it makes her feel better if she thinks I feel bad about it. I usually wait another week before I click..."Buy Another Team?" OK! :D

To goredsox....yes...I have issues! Nothing therapy can't fix though....

To Simon.....I'm with ya bud...I feel your pain...hang in there! Try this..win a championship....show her the 2 free games and tell her that you are saving money! My wife does this to me when she buys a ton of crap for sale.....she is so proud to tell me how much money she saved me.....

glad to see I'm not the only one who's wife gets mad at him for playing Strat and spending $25/team. it's even worse for me cause that's actually closer to $30 Canadian. I've just started lying and saying they're all free teams
