Influence in your guiter work - Very tasty stuff...I really love Genesis and King Crimson too... Along with all of their spinnoffs or Robert Fripp oriented bands. I especially liked Steve Hackett of Genesis' - that period and some of his solo stuff.

In a small club here in Phoenix...Think it was the early 90's, but it was a very difficult time and I can't get my chronology right.

I hate to sound like a dork, but I don't think I know radiohead. I love Floyd, Clash and most of the names floating around, my go-to guys/gals?

Tom Waits, Ella Fitzgerald, Muddy Waters, Leadbelly, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Louis Armstrong, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Siouxie and the Banshees, Mr. Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

As I said before Big's guitar playing reminded me of The Edge, in particular of the stuff they did for the soundtrack of Captive.

Either way, really like your playing Big, thanks for sharing.

Thnx Big, Now I am going to print your kind words with reaaaally large fonts and hang it over my cds with a big note that says to my girlfriend : "You see??? It's not noise!!!"

My last 3 girlfriends detest my taste in music, especially Leadbelly and Tom Waits...my girlfriend right now is a mega Abba and Andrew Lloyd Webber fan: the right to play music usually leads to...well...throwing PG tips and Malteasers at each other

What eclectic tastes in music we've got represented in this league.
I'm 41, and here's what growing up in the Seventies and Eighties has
had me listing as my favorites...Cheap Trick, Neil Young, Steve Earle,
RUSH, Fleetwood Mac, Devo, B-52's, Dwight Yoakam, Sheryl Crow, and
Blue Oyster Cult.

I am pretty much a music junkie, I own over 3,000 CD's. So if anyone
in this group has a CD they created, a "demo" so to speak, or even an
independent type thing and you're selling them, let me know. I'm always
open to trying new stuff. I'd say the only music I can't listen to is
Classical, or Opera...reason being... I'm that type of person that really
likes the "lyrics" over the music.

I'm choosing to speak about my musical tastes so that I can try and forget how poorly my team has been peforming lately !! I'll be right back
I have to go hold the door open for Mr. Penngray and his Canucks so that
he can move up to 2nd place !!! :(

Wow! Good stuff bigM! Your song Madness (which is the only one I have listened to so far) sort of had a Pink Floydish/Eric Clapton sound to it.

Since we're all revealing our musical tastes here, I'll say that mine are as eclectic as they come. I pretty much listen to everything, from Vivaldi to Megadeth and everything in between. I can't really put into words what will get me to like a song? The only way I can describe it is to say that it is a particular sound that will get my attention and draw me to an artist.

Let's see here, I'd say that if I emptied my CD player in my car right now you would find...Metallica, Alanis Morrisette, Tantric, Saliva, Great White, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Eminem, D-12, Clint Black, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jeff Healey.

Okay, now that my musical cat is outta the bag, onto the Strat talk. I was looking over the standings today and it hit me that our league is pretty much as wild as my taste in music. I mean, we've got the East which T.Rich is pretty much just running away with, the West in which the teams are so tightly packed together that you can't slip a piece of paper in between them and then you've got the Central in which Charlie has a little bit of breathing room but not much. The Puddlejumpers are struggling at the moment and Penn's and my team are starting to gain momentum.
It's still early enough in the season too that nobody is really out of the hunt. The Cha Chas and Coochies could still go on a run and make things uncomfortable for TR and the Central and the West are still anybody's ballgame. This league, in a nutshell, is representitive of why I love Vet leagues over and above any autoleague.

Well I took a page out of Cummings playbook with my 80's team and decided to have a firesale. I figured that I needed to do anything possible to make it interesting to check in on this team anymore.

Ordinarily I'd only have to make 3 or 4 changes over the course of a season but this team just totally sucked from the start and never got better.
