Scary I have second pick. Hopefully pick 1 is made by 6:30 AM CST, so I can then figure out which team to take. Have a couple teams in mind but haven't decided yet for sure.

I am on the West Coast so give me about 15 minutes and I will post. It will be an unlikely choice I am sure.

WOW, Gene! After some consideration, I narrowed my Number # 1 choice in this format to be the Cubs. Nice pick.

i had the cubs too. all you really need is a rf and maybe some pitching. At least now I have a built in excuse for not winning. I didn't get my team.

I need a CF and a RF (one to leadoff) but yes they have a good lineup plus I should get 4-6 free agents. Let's see......maybe strengthen the bullpen and get a spot starter to match Selma or get a *SP and move Selma to the pen. Oh, and I HAVE to get a cheap backup catcher for roster to be legal. THIS IS FUN!

I can see how the Cubs would have finished '69 if Durocher would have had more depth to work with. There are some other really good middle salaried teams to choose from and someone may even take a bottom feeder and fill with expensive free agents. And of course there is always the talent laden top salaried teams. This should be very competitive.

I actually had two other teams that I considered but I was always enthralled with the '69 Cubs like most baseball fans out there.

Since I think pitching and defense are the key here, I am taking the Braves. Oh, I am risking my job to, by coming back to the apartment to check in.
