How about posting a link to this team?

IMHO...

Damon is a decent enough lead-off guy, but he might be better served in a clutch hitting position. I don't see anyone else who can lead-ff for you, so he'll have to do I guess. (Rollins "could" lead-off vs. LH's)

Matsui should bat a bit lower in the lineup vs. LH's. Prolly go with Varitek in the 3 hole vs. LH's.

Koskie "could" use a platoon vs. LH's. Merloni would be nice.

What SoCal said, plus:

I might have concerns about Nevin. I had him in Safeco (semi-similar park), and he under performed. Perhaps he will benefit if your league/dvivision comes at you with a lot of LHPs.

That's what I would watch for. People will see Shea, and come at you hard from the left side, or with reverse righties (Woody W.).

Koskie needs a platoon for sure.

You NEED a lefty bat that hits lefties well.

Guys that come to mind are: (in no particular order)
Giambi
Gload
Lu. Gonz.
Patterson
even a guy like Newhan is decent.

Viz is right.

Gload is great in Shea. Right except about Koskie. Great is Shea, not for average, but lots of homers and RBI. Varitek, IMHO, is very overpriced. I like Burke or Kendall here. Matsui not in 3 hole against lefties. Wilkerson good here. Lots out there. Look for lh pop that hit lefties. You will see many lhp.

Thanks. With 4 Shea teams in the league, the pickings are pretty slim. I focussed on my vs. LHP lineup.

Dropped Matsui a few notches and upped the rest of the order, swapped Damon and Rollins, and slotted Mr. OBP Hill into the #9 hole. I missed on Kendall in the draft, and MANY others. :) Matsui, Lamb, Nevin as my core 3 was about the best I could pull together.

It seems like Luis Gonzalez would be a great answer for this if available. He is basically Gload for $1.79M, albeit with about 200 fewer ABs. Of course you could reserve him to play primarily at home vs LHPs.

It also seems a RH hitter like E. Martinez ($.90M) provides great protection against hard lefties. He will hit doubles, and won't get killed in Shea with only 2 BPHRs vs LHPs. I have him in Safeco as a lefty DH platoon (124 ABs):

..ba...obp...slg
.274/.383/.492

...more than one way to skin cat grasshoppa. :x
