It's a league where no pitcher is over 1M so the scores are high. But this one was my most runs ever scored in ATG. I thought it was nice to see the boxscore. Of course I did send an apology note to Frank M for running it up....lol,lol

those batting averages are sick bobby, and now I see why my BULGES have their hands more than full trying to keep up with you in our homer league...youve got too much experience at this stuff.
that's more than Ive gotten out of ken boyer in seasons before I dumped him than you got in one day, and ofcourse the best quote he ever provided, courtesy of HAL....
[quote:424a353d77]Boyer was jubilant after the game 'Let me
see a box-score' he joked, 'I want to see how that game looks on paper.'

Even for such a league, what I find most amazing is that every hitter in your lineup had at least 1 XB hit, and 6 of the 9 had multiple XB hits. Yowza!

What I don't understand is how, in a LIVE DRAFT, we all allowed Bobby to put THAT team together!!

Bobby got Ruth, Simmons, Carter, and Alou in a live draft? That's two top 10s, a top 20, and a top 30. I'd guess that some people are regretting drafting Speer, Frock, Cvengros, and the like in the first 3 rounds.

I think you are right Trey! I did not do that, but some (who will remain nameless....unless someone wants to float me a credit, then I will sing like a CANARY!) did draft that way..... :)

I admit it, I was STUPID and drafted Speer in the first round (I was near the end of the round anyway). My team is doing just fine (for a Griffith-style team in a bombers league playing in Fenway 67) with a wonderful record of 11-19 and mired in 4th place.

For educational purposes (to show how NOT to do a live draft in a bomber's league), I attach a link to my team. DISCLAIMER - the team you are about to view is not appropriate for all ages. Kids, DO NOT TRY THIS TEAM AT HOME, IN A BOMBER'S LEAGUE.
