LOTO(AKA League Of their Own) 05' CONSOLATION LEAGUE

I guess I'm all over the map when it comes to music, but I generally run to pretty mainstream hard rock. Grew up with the "hair bands" like Styx (until they morphed out of recognition), Boston, Journey, Lover Boy, Foreigner, Def Leppard, etc. Although I pretty much like all 70s rock. Now my favorites are P.O.D., Santana, Disturbed, Alice in Chains, Creed, Three Doors Down. But I range as far as Kenny Wayne Sheppard to Evanescence to Los Lonely Boys to Avril Lavigne.

I got the leadbelly/Tom Waits perspective and it was very funny play on words...but you know the weird thing is that I read your post late last night...tired...thinking of Joanna Krupa :D and for whatever reason when I read Georgie in my mind I thought Camilla, as in Camilla Parker Bowles... I thought it was in reference to the fact that she, my current, is English...I thought to myself "What a sick, sick, twisted image Rob planted in my head" (The sad thing is that I am NOT kidding about this - I really thought that's what you meant Rob) For needless to say survival reasons I started thinking even harder on Mrs Krupa and my lovely current only so as to shake off that image you had imprinted in my brain...not that there's anything wrong with CPB, but...she IS taken and...well...I'm afraid it just wouldn't work out

I know this may sound strange...

And probably way too personal an inside joke to get, but whenever I have written characters who were either gay, effeminate or in drag, I have always used 3 names - Any obvious flaming or effeminate's were always called Gary - the most common name of personal friends or aquaintances who were gay...And the rough masculine ones were always named George and obvious males in Drag, like Terrence Stamp in (Blank), Princess of the Desert, who really came off badly were always named Ed...Don't ask me why...

In reference to that movie - also is the ABBA joke as well.

I HATE PETCO !!!!!

Well, I'm finally there...below .500 again !!! Story of my life in Strat.
It kills me to get swept, but it irks me even more when all three games
are one run games !!! How can I not at least pull one of those out ?

The Beulahs are starting to wipe the floors with us all !!

If I tank with this team I am going to become very depressed !! I took
the offensive route this time figuring I'd already proven to myself that I
am useless at putting a good pitching staff together. But the thing about
that was, I knew that would be more difficult. That's why I tried that
route first.

With this team I went with high powered offense, low injury risk, a
hitter friendly park, and decent pitching. I was so happy with my quick
start that I actually thought maybe I'd put together a possible winner.
But, look at my team now. This is soooooo frustrating.

We're showing up at Shea Stadium to play the Cha Chas tomorrow and
the whole team is going to get LOADED !!!

If I lose the next series I'll entertain any trades that somebody can
sell me to improve my team, I think it's impossible to improve on my
offense right ? I think they have outperformed my expectations so far.
But my Pitching is really really giving up too much, but my question is...
Can I improve my Pitching in such a hitter friendly park ?

Can you tell I'm panicked ?

Jeff

I'd just like some consistancy out of my team. When I've got the offense, the pitching falls apart and when I've got the pitching, I've got no offense!

UGH!!! :x
