[quote:4199a32782="buster j ratt"][quote:4199a32782="rosenthm"]This may seem like a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway. If we all draft only players carded only to our franchise, then why are we doing waivers? IF everyone drafts only players carded to their franchise, then everyone would have the same rank for waivers because we would all get 100%, right? And then I'm guessing that HAL would randomly assign waiver order. With the off-limits part of the rule, I would guess it would be more fun and competitive to be able to draft anyone that played for the franchise. Just my two cents, but I'm wondering why we're doing waivers if everyone will have 100% of their auto-draft picks.[/quote:4199a32782]

Agree with above Frenzy would be just as fair You either here or you are not and I would not be for 5 or 6 hours but at least if I got someone I would have them not wait 2 days[/quote:4199a32782]

But then again if the rule is made I have to say we go with it Momentary lapse of reason on my part!!!!!!!

We're not going anywhere with anything until you get a 12th owner.... :)

I agree, waivers with only carded players is probably redundant, or repetitive, or excessive, or superfluous, or.....

If no one will be inconvenienced, [b:de16c51e94]I will change the rule to drafting any players that ever played for your franchise[/b:de16c51e94], and your 2 franchise picks are exclusively yours.

Sounds like most of us are good with this change. If anyone is stongly opposed, you have until 2cityfan checks in to speak up.

Whoa. Wait a minute. I thought we already decided. Now we're going to start changing rules around? I don't like that. I don't mind the rule about exclusivity to your two franchise tagged players, but the good thing about drafting your carded players only is that you at least get right of first refusal to those players. Waivers is not redundant, as the randomness of the waivers is just the same as the randomness of the autodraft.

I think AeroDave has a point about first refusal, but my question still stands about waivers. If we had gone cards only on autodraft it just seems like we would have gone right to frenzy. Why the waivers process? I have a team ready to enter with all carded players, but I prefer drafting any player and wouldn't mind taking the time to change. Not a major deal with me either way, I just wanted to ask my stupid question about why we're doing waivers if we're all drafting exclusive players.

A good point. Since it's election season, let's be democratic (in process, not necessarily in affiliation) and put it to a vote. We'll run the vote until we have a majority or until 2 cityfan checks in. I won't vote to avoid a tie.

Aerodave - draft only players carded to your franchise
buster j ratt - draft any player that ever played for your franchise
rosenthm - draft any player that ever played for your franchise

Buster and Marge, I'm basing your votes on your comments above, feel free to change if I'm wrong about your opinions.
