and you assured me of getting SIX! Looks like Atlanta is on the bubble for 2 or 4 FA's. I really thought about the Angels but NO hitting, and the Phillies but NO pitching! Oh well, we'll be happy with Big Frank (hondo) Howard!

Rumors from the Cubs spring training camp are flying. It is said thet the Cubbies knew hotshot GM is considering cutting Mr.Cub #14 Ernie Banks. The fans in Arizona are outraged by even the thought of this but it appears the new kid is putting a lot of stock into a hitters OPB and ol' Ernie just doesn't have his eye at the plate that he had back in '59.

Reportedly the Cubs are keeping an eye on the Free Agent wire while Mr.Cub goes through what could be his last major League Camp.

Meanwhile there has also been rumors that Jim Hickman is off to a slow spring start and his position on the club is also in question. It looks like this Management team has no heart when it comes to the Cub fans favorites.
When questioned about this the new GM said, " Cubs fans just want to finish near .500 and keep ticket prices affordable so they have money to spend on beer. Well it is time that we change that. We are playing for a championship and no ones job is sacred here"! Lee Elia was unavailable for comment about the Cubs fans attitudes.

Tough choice. I can honestly say that the Red Sox were the first team that I did NOT want in this league, but when my personal "Great Eight" were all selected, I had to become the new Theo Epstein. I REALLY, REALLY wanted to take the Angels; not to screw with Novie, but for the challenge. My God, the Angels had a DISMAL offense.

To Commish Gene: Thanks for the league founding.

One question: With me as an example, I have four free agents coming my way - can I list only 4 non-Red Sox players or I can I fill out my entire draft card with players from non-drafted teams and cut down to only 4 non-Red Sox free agents AFTER the auto draft has run?

I'll be in the East, so let me know ASAP and I'll put my draft card in.

Lumber,

Pit will only be getting 2 FA's(and don't need anymore) if you want to go ahead and start the league

You may only list 4 FA's! If you have 2 coming then draft only two non franchise players. If you have 6 coming then draft 6. Put them at the top of your list and then fill with your franchise players.

If this poses a problem to make up a 25 man roster then let me know.

i think we should use ONLY the amount of FA's we are entitled too, if you don't you could REALLY screw up some one elses draft!

if u get 2 u pick 2
if u get 4 u pick 4
if u get 6 u pick 6

BUT I am NOT the commish!

question - I'm in RFK Stadium, right?
