Ok, now I need to figure out how to add him. I recently switched my C and LF for Terry Kennedy and a used Kirk Gibson. Gibson has played abot 15 gmes total with an avg of less than .200. Kennedy was pinch hit for with Bailor which may or may not mean he has one of his two bad RH oriented cards. I was thinking of dumping Kennedy and Gibson to get Guerrero and then just starting Benedict at C and crossing my fingers.
My pitching has been insanely good, but keep in mind I started out with something like a 17-5 record- I have played .500 ball for about a week. This is my best start in about 12 teams and I dont want to mess it up. I have been lucky at the start of a lot of seasons only to see my leads whittle away because I didnt act. Ripken hit the free agent market and I considered taking him but waited too long. Now he is on the best team in the league going .338 .550 .389.
Due to my starting pitching doing so well, I cant tell which of my relievers to dump (I have 7). Carew is batting .371 against lefties and below .300 against righties so who know whats going on there? Im worried I have his worst year but been getting lucky with rolls (he has 2x the ABs against Righties than lefties). I could have his best year with bad rolls against righties.
Randolph is sucking it up but even his worst card is a bargain. I probably have Boggs second worst year but thats why you play Boggs-even his second worst year is good. Injury revealed that Concepcion is in his second worst or middle year, but there are no available alternatives. (no remaing 2 defense .75 SSs). Murphy and Butler are carrying the offense. (I usually have to beg for a CF-this time I have to put one in right).
So, any suggestions on what to do. Does a damaged goods Pedro make up for having a random C?
