Franchise theme where ALL teams have a chance

Our historical single season sets

[quote:41211cc93c="genegrid"] If you have 2 FA's coming then draft only two non franchise players. If you have 6 coming then draft 6, 4 then draft 4. Put them at the top of your list and then fill with your franchise players.

If this poses a problem to make up a 25 man roster then let me know.[/quote:41211cc93c]

I am clear on the rules.
Just making sure everyone else follows suit.

My early season choice as favorite is Boston. I made it to the playoffs with them in a two team league and Seattle as their sister franchise. Great hitting and defense and an underrated pitching staff. With 4 free agents and $20 million to spend they will definitely be tough to beat.

Risden is sand bagging us with that "woe is me" talk!

Remember you get your home stadium (Was is RFK) and when your name your team use your city name or nickname or both so we can easily identify the franchise.

Hey Gene,

Want to trade franchises? As a card-carrying memebr of the White Sox Brigade, my family would literally disown me if I took over the Cubs, but I'd give it a shot. :D

True story: My 7 year-old son was assigned to a tee-ball team named the "Cubs". My dad came out to watch our game and he gave my son a sweatshirt to wear (it was a little chilly) in order to cover up the "Cubs" logo.

Looks like a GREAT league. Some powerful East teams to contend with; I personally like the Oakland A's with 4 picks.

I like the A's too (obviously, I picked them!) but I think Boston has a lot of real players and my personal favorite undervalued SP in Ray Culp. Almost picked them...

By the way, Novie. Thanks a million for knocking me from 6 to 4 FAs...I promise I will not name my team "33rd Street." 8)

Good luck, all. This should be fun.

I love the A's too... had them in a similar league and had best record... lost in playoffs though.

I would trade you Risden but I have already used my credit and drafted my Cubs squad. Besdies I really want to see how I can do with a different franchise as I have already had the Red Sox.

I think the teams that were hurt the most by only getting 2 free agents were the Braves and Giants but hey everyone gets to use $80 mil and a DH so we all have a chance.

Let's fill asap. I can't wait to see how the free agent auto draft goes. I would rather have done it live but it just takes too long.

Just a reminder that someone from the East will have to create the league and password and send to the other east members to get this going.

Do the 2 Free Agents need to come from the 1969 set. That's the question from the SF Giants since Willie Mays from 1965 was seen visiting in order to bolster the morale of the predicted cellar dwellars.
