This was my least ideal weekend as I had a trip scheduled for the following week with a departure on Saturday, the 24th.

BUT, I should be able to swing the trip to Vegas anyway. :)

Last year Doug (penngray) did it and the tournament ran flawlessly. I'm sure that Doug would be available by telephone for assistance to anyone who can take this project on. IF WE DON'T HAVE ANYONE THEN I MUST CONSIDER THE TIME FRAME THAT PENNGRAY CAN ATTEND WHICH IS JUNE 7-12. THIS PART OF THE EVENT IS CRITICAL AND I NEED A SOLUTION. I'm pretty sure that I will be able to make it at this point. I can assist/lead the project--particularly if I have the ability pick penn's brain. I have a laptop to bring as well.

I am in the process of booking the block of rooms for the event. The room rates which are special rates for me are as follows:

Wednesday 6/21--$59.00
Thursday 6/22--$59.00
Friday 6/23--$99.00
Saturday 6/24--$99.00
Sunday 6/25--$59.00

The event will take place on Friday and Saturday. I have blocked the above to give people the chance to come earlier and also stay and extra day. But once I give you the information, you can arrange for even extra time on the front or back......I will have the procedure to book rooms in a day or two....

Thanks to agabriel for taking the project point person to coordinate the event. I think it's important for penngray to have a conversation with agabriel to see what's involved. I will try to reach Doug to arrange for this conversation. I would like a few others to help with the technical side and work with agabriel so we can be ready to play games head-to-head. I need to retrieve my disks from the managers of a recent league. Each finalists won a Version 10 disk and are currently testing my 45 disks out on their computers.

I need a few people to determine the tournament schedule. Who want s to lead this up? As people book rooms they need to post here so we can keep tabs on who's coming. We WILL NEED laptops so who can bring one...???

I have surgery next Thursday so I will be out of sorts for some time....

Bobby, good luck on the surgery. I just talked to the Boss, and it looks like we could make it the June 21-24 week. I'll wait and see when you get it all set up. By the way, know that you are in our prayers during your operation.
