Can't figure out why he'd be so bad ALL the time. Guess he needs the dome, or some other pitcher's park to even have a chance.
1978 card: that walk v. RH on 5-6 ain't so good, but it shouldn't be a killer. A VERY good card.
1979: HR.s on RH side, 6-8 and ballpark 6-9. But overall difficult to hit, and good against lefties (as per 1978 )
1980: best card he's got, IMHO; big fat DOUBLE on 5-7 v. lefty, but VERY tough on RH's (3R), and only two straight out chances of getting on (walk on 4-10, single on 5-5) HR is only 1-2, and no BP HR on EITHER SIDE.
1981: HR on 4-9 (1-15); BP HR on 6-10 versus righties; DESTROYS LH's (just a pair of walks, and SI*, DO, both at 1-4; NO BP singles against lefties! Another good card
1986: By FAR the worst card; not worth even describing.
Four out of five cards are usuable; I would rate one of those four as OUTSTANDING, and another as VERY GOOD. He's worth a low pick, as he's only priced at 1.5M. He's got some cards on par with Sutter, who is 3.65M.
I still think he's undervalued. That said, he got blitzed in our league this year, and he does have an extra base problem when he DOES get hit. So, go figure.
