Now that it is down to scrub time what does everyone think of their draft?

I'm pleased with mine over all. I missed out on some guys I wanted, but got others I didn't expect. I think I have a solid core with some interchangables that can help in down years. In fact that will be my team name "Epic Interchangeable" or some other like name with Interchangeable in it.

Ice, I replied to your PM. The answer is NO, I WON'T trade you Wilfong for Yount, for the last time :wink:

YountFan, you asked how we like our draft so far? I like mine ALOT, except, I think i've shared WAY TOO MUCH information with you over the last few years. I like my draft, except the following players seem to have been STOLEN from me right before I pick them: Lapointe, Upshaw, Braggs, Diaz, and the Metrodome :twisted: :evil:

I think I've put together a team that can win in Royals Stadium. I also think I put together a team that can win in Fenway park --- SYkes, if there's a possibility of a trade, to quote H. Ross Perot, "I'm all ears".

You should have drafted them sooner. I can make a list of players who where stolen from me too. Stop crying.

The Metrodome might be a first for me, but my team fits it pretty well. Kind of like a poorman's Fenway.

I'm in the market for a cheap RP or two. Any extras? Also interested in a cheap C that can hit LHP.

++++++

Make me !!! :wink:

You're right, YF, I should have drafted them sooner. And your team definitely fits nicely in the M-Dome.... with your lefty SP's, probably better in the dome than in Fenway.

If you wanna trade Upshaw, let me know.

Sean, if missing out on the guys in that studly group is your biggest problem, I think you're in good shape, my man.

So far, I can't complain. I went with some favorites of mine in certain spots (since it is a keeper league) so I definitely didn't always draft the "best available player." Taking E. Davis in round one cost me a shot at Guerrero. I probably took Larkin earlier than he should've gone also....but I wanted to make sure I had him. I'm a little concerned about my top 5 SPs (Reuschel, Drabek, Key, Ruthven and Pastore), but I'm happy with the depth I have behind them (Hough, Bannister, Dotson Keough and Mathews). I'm also VERY happy with some of the "cheapies" I got in Fletcher, Carmelo, Bailor, Almon and Browne.

The next few rounds should be fascinating. We're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel :) :P
