I just have to give this a try. It sounds like a challenge with a good group of 80's junkies. Mike

Welcome aboard Mike... I'm looking forward to this unique set-up. Plus, I've never played in a non-DH league before. This looks like a lot of fun.

5 more and we start rockin!!

Yes I am also Rpar10. I was out of town this weekend and was accessing the site via a computer in the hotel lobby (how sad is that) and I was having trouble remembering my password and ID for LMBombers since it comes up automatically on my computer at home and work. After my post on this thread I realized that the ID is case sensitive.

Anybody know anyone from any of your other leagues who you think might want to join this one?

I have a question about the "stud" player. When you say the "stud" player cannot be dropped, is that after the free agent/waiver period? I assume we would still have the oppurtunity to claim a free agent "stud" if we get stuck with one we do not want after the draft.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: the "stud," he can be traded but can't be dropped. In other words, if you pick George Brett, he's yours for the year unless you trade him. If you trade him, the other team must keep him.

I guess my confusion lies in the way the autodraft works. If I end up picking 6th and George Brett is my first pick, (I understand in this draft he would be 25th) what if the guy with the 5th pick grabs George? Do I end up with someone like Buddy Bell if Schmidt and Boggs are gone?

Mike, the stud hitters (along with stadiums) will be selected by draft. The night the league fills on the board, we'll use the lottery numbers drawn that night to set the draft order. So, if you select Brett, nobody else can take him (i.e., nobody else can put him on their autodraft card). You'll put him 25th on your list.
