SCRUBS CAN PLAY ALSO filled and waiting for draft.

SCRUBS CAN PLAY ALSO league. $80m, no DH (would prefer a frenzy, but it would have to be on a Friday or Saturday night for me. Otherwise, I'd agree to a waiver's, if the league wishes).
Two Restrictions in this theme -
1. Every team will have three STARTING "scrub" players at .99 or lower. These scrubs are broke down in the following GROUPS:
A. three teams will have scrubs at C, 1b and a SP position.
B. three teams will have scrubs at 2b, LF and a SP position.
C. three teams will have scrubs at SS, RF and a SP position.
D. three teams will have scrubs at 3b, CF and a SP position.
The scrub position players MUST be in your starting lineups at all times, unless they are injured. They may NOT be replaced for a defensive backup, UNLESS the backup is also a .99 or less scrub. The scrub SPs must get a minimum of 26 STARTS for you doing the season.
2. No EXTREME Hitting or Pitching Parks. Therefore, these parks will be banned - Fenway 67, Huntington, Baker, both Polo's, Yankee 27, Busch 64, Yankee 56, Municipal 54, Forbes, Griffith, Candlestick, Dodger 65, Astrodome, Royals, Olympic and both County stadiums.
There are still plenty of hitting & pitching parks left. Parks would NOT be unique.
Could be fun to play in some seldom used parks, and our draft cards would certainly have a different look. What would the value become of C. Hiller or Maz at 2b, Groat at SS, B. Buckner at 1b, W. Davis in CF or a J. Hegan at C? Would J. Alou or G. Shuba become someone's top 5 pick? Could R. Caldwell win 20 games for someone?
The groupings will not be bunched in the same divisions; every division will have one of each type of team in it. Sign up below in the Division and Scrub group of your choice:

I have a question regarding the following....."The scrub SPs must get a minimum of 26 STARTS for you doing the season."..... if I draft a non "*" pitcher... that means that starter would be scheduled to start 32 games... since they only have to start a minimum 26 games... what rules apply to the other 6 starts... still under .99?

The INTENT is to have the scrub starter be IN your starting rotation all season. The reason I put down 26 starts, instead of 32, is to allow for the possibility of the scrub pitcher being injured, and missing starts, thereby not making the required 32 starts. 26 starts factors in TWO different 15 game injuries for your scrub starter, where he would miss three starts each injury period. Granted, it would be very bad luck...but it can happen.

If there is an injury to one of your scrubs..... you have to be replace them with another scrub... correct...

a couple of suggestions, your backups at those positions your group requires must also be .99 or less, otherwise you'd draft an injury prone under 1.00 position player and hope he gets hurt. you also must leave those players whose position you're required to have in your lineup at all times, even when injured, and let HAL replace him. you can move him to 8th or somewhere else while injured, but not out of the lineup. in otherwords, if you've got c/1b, you cannot own any catcher or firstbaseman worth more than .99.

also need to establish what the penalties are for non-compliance, too few scrub pitcher starts for example.
two other suggestions, rosethm's signup notwithstanding, it's gonna be tough to fill group C, stuck with under 1.00 shortstops. why not have a lottery to determine what group you're in after we get twelve owners. and one other unsolicited suggestion to this esteemed group of vets...a four round live draft to set the required scrubs for each team, plus one wild card, by lottery, and you can either go for a killer mays type card with that first round pick, or the best scrub available at your position, but have to have all three required posiitons at the end of round four, including your pitcher, and one other player. then either waivers or frenzy.

The intent is to play your scrubs, all the time, like you would if they were any other desired player.
1. A scrub being injured must be replaced by another scrub.
2. Don't understand what you mean about there not being enough sub $1m SS. I count plenty, 25 and I am not even out of the C's yet. :)
3. Let's try and fill this with the set up now in place, for the time being. I have found that as soon as you start adding live drafts, lotteries, etc., it begins to get very complicated. Not everyone can amend their schedules to attend a live draft, for example. Not that I don't enjoy a live draft. Your suggestions are good ones. If this theme takes too long to fill, and I sense those issues raised are a problem, we can look in to incorporating them.
If people play this theme according to the spirit intended, and not look for loopholes to exploit, I don't think non-compliance for SP starts, for example, should be an issue. But, I AM an optimist. :)
