OK Poser. I sincerely apologize. How about managers who are underperforming because the autodraft without the weighted waiver system turned against them.

Apology accepted, but I never blame the autodraft-that would be too Milterest. :D

Postby bomberny50 » Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:14 am

Don't worry I already know i'm a weak manager, but on the very rare times i do well it feels that much better.

This league thread needed some excitement...sorry for my discharge of excrement.

For the 2004 league, we should use the combined manager records for the now completed 2001 league, what should be the completed 2002 and however far we get in 2003 to determine division placement. That could level the playing field for all concerned. Just a suggestion.

For the "weak" managers, start shaking the dice harder!

Given the fact the three series I played against Coffee during the regular season were all sweeps, my team ahead 2 sweeps to one. I thought that the seimfinal series would be a case of sweep or be swept. I was fortunate to sweep.

I don't care if I face Alexx or Kevin for the league championship, as long as the winning team sustains some key injuries. Players I would like to see on the DL for the finals:

[u:5be007a4d3]For the Yankees[/u:5be007a4d3]

Paul LoDuca
Jim Edmonds

[u:5be007a4d3]For the Jokers[/u:5be007a4d3]

It figures that Ironwill would have a team with no injury factor. :x
Hopefully, his closer Roberto Hernandez goes down for a 15 game injury.

For the regular season, my team was 3-6 against Magic Alexx and 6-3 against Ironwill will a nice late season 3 game sweep. Good luck to both.

Well, I'm still hanging on. Jokers went up in the third game. In the fourth, I went up early and Michalak was lifted in the third inning for an injury. Darenbourg came on and redeemed himself from the previous game by keeping us in it until the end of the fourth. At that point, the Lowe-Fassaro Fence gave up only one run in the final four innings.

I now go back home for the one game scramble to get to the Series. Having Halama as starter is not as bad as it may sound. I've had many game 5's where I've $7mil+ S* pitcher perfectly situated and still fail to win. Halama has been with me off and on since my first two 2001 teams back in my debut in Stratomatic back in January 2006. Besides, I only need him until the fifth inning. What is good about my team is they are well rounded. I don't have to worry about one or two main hitters carrying my team. There are new heroes every night. We have to play our game in our park.

When you e-mailed me that all our series had been sweeps Joe, I was sure that you had won every game... surprised to see that I won any games against you at all. Still, I was hoping that HAL might be feeling benevolent and would throw a few die rolls my way and allow me to move into the finals. Instead, I encountered the cruel and vindictive HAL (outscored 30-6) and my boys are now making tee times for the upcoming off-season.

Rootin' hard for Kevin pull off the upset and win the ring... gotta keep those top 2 teams within spittin' distance after the first season!
