What are people's thoughts on the Maddux card? It's nice to have more cards, but it can create bad feelings unless we agree on something now.

I don't think he should be available. Since we have two esquires in our league, I better state my case.

First, let's assume we are not done drafting. Obviously, I don't think he should be suddenly available for our league on the somdraft.com site (I don't know how fast Major Deegan can even have him available, but let's assume 12:01 pm on Monday) because someone should not be able to get him just because he is on the clock at 12:01.

And even if we are done drafting by then, then allowing him to be available on draft cards makes this an autodraft lottery for one player (or worse if it's a frenzy) which I'm not crazy about because it defeats the purpose of the draft - a fair distribution of players.

BTW, we should also decide on frenzy or waivers. I hope it's waivers, since with two young ones I'm in bed well before frenzies run.

yeah, we'll have waivers, guess we'll need to think about Maddux. I'm not worried about him in the draft here because I think we'll be done by Monday but yeah having him in the free agent pool will be a big windfall for whoever gets him. I'm inclined to say we shouldn't have him in this league since we started the draft without him. But if anyone wants to make a case for him being in the league, I'll listen.

as for maddux, there's no equitable way to include him at this point, I say he's banned.

I say banned for now but one league is considering letting the worst team on game 36 decide whether they want him and go on up the chain until someone claims him - seemed a pretty fair way to do it.
