[quote:556625e86e="weinberg"]i guess 36 is right... since we now live in a socialist country... and 125 managers? no, there are not 125 managers. click thru all 125... not even close, more like in the 80s... so roughly 45% of managers make the playoffs? im sitting top 5 with 103 wins... number 36 has 91 wins... so what my reward for completely dominating #36 for an average of [b:556625e86e]12 WINS over the course of 7 events??[/b:556625e86e] a little better seeding? welcome to the united socialist states of america. and good guess bigmahon... i had to change my username because so many people were copying my teams the past couple years...[/quote:556625e86e]
Actually, Whineberg, the difference isn't wins, it's points. Just as an example we'll use You, who should easily be in the top 12, and Me, who will be lucky to be in the top 36. Unless my math is off, over 6 events, you averaged 87.3 wins and I averaged 84.6. 2.7 wins difference. And if you drop the low score, as per the rules, you average 88.0 and I average 87.2. So the difference between your Top 12 team and my Barely Top 36 is .8 wins per season.
I'll concede you're a better player than I am. And that because of the POINTS you've proven it over the course of 6 events. And even so, the difference between our teams can come down to: luck, the division we're in, the league we're in, .8 wins per season.
I also think we were pretty close to 125, starting out. I know Cummings was never a full time participant, and there are undoubtedly a few others, but most of the drops look to me like players who didn't do well initially and gave up.
