[quote:4e6ef0c1ca="BBY"]Ok, I guess I have to explain myself for dealing away Nady. The dealing wasn't a fleecing as far as I'm concerned because I got a piece to help my team, and I didn't give away anything I was planning on using. After reviewing my roster I determined that I wasn't going to use Nady this year anyway, mostly because he has a 4 range in LF. Hoffman was very good against RH last year and I need RP help so I made the offer.

Nady isn't anything special, last year was definietely a fluke as far as the batting average, on base percentage and slugging. The chances of him repeating his 2008 stats are very poor.[/quote:4e6ef0c1ca]

You don't have to justify yourself BBY, but I think most of us are scratching are heads because, while you may not think Nady has much value to you, he should at least have value past the upcoming season, and Hoffman may not given his age and current contract status.

Hoffman will help my team in the upcoming season while Nady won't. I will worry about subsequent seasons later :D

As much as I've crapped on Nady, I thought it was a fair deal because Nady could help qksilver's team this year in LF. With Lind and Thames qk has a good platoon, but it couldn't hurt to use Nady there against RHP.

Well, right now Hinske is my LF platoon vs RHP, and being a LH he should put up similar #s to Nady though his OPS is a bit lower. So Nady is likely a spot starter/bench guy for me now unless something wacky happens...

But in reality, Hoffman was likely going to be cut, so in that sense I'm fine, just have to make a decision about who to cut elsewhere. Anyone who wants to propose a 2 for 1 deal, let me know!

[quote:109d8dc5ac="klx22"]Coco Crisp, Willie Harris, Hideki Matsui, Ryan Sweeney, Fukudome, Carlos Gonzalez, Javier Vazquez, Chris Duncan, and George Sherrill can be had for SP, RP, MI, and or picks. None of these players will be cut, so if you have an interest in any of the above, let the offers commence via pm! :)

Man you guys sure know how to keep the commish busy in the off season. And to think I was woried this league wouldn't be active when i first agreed to be commish. I must say I'm glad my fears have proven unfounded.
