Hey Randy---Do me a favor and post my Peckerheads SB totals to the record books. I have no clue how to do it. Thanks Larry (I think they'll be like 3d in SB.

1 more owner needed

Postby LMBombers » Fri Feb 24, 2006 10:06 pm

It looks like Merm is not interested in our next league. Anybody know of someone they would like to invite to this league to take the last spot? This person's choices will influence the DH rule and division allignment!

Thanks for joining Meat. By a majority vote this leage will be a DH league and divisions will be formed by won/lost records.

200M, DH, no waivers, standard league will be the settings.

Here are the divisions and stadiums:

East:

NY Mets - Shea Stadium 4/4/9/9
Baltimore - Memorial Stadium 1/1/3/3
Minnesota - Metropolitan Stadium 11/11/20/19
Atlanta - Fulton County Stadium 9/9/19/19

Central:

SF Giants - Candlestick Park 6/6/3/3
Chi. Cubs - Wrigley Field 10/10/15/15
Detroit - Tiger Stadium 13/10/16/13
Cincinatti - Crosley Field 10/13/13/10

West:

Boston - Fenway Pawk 17/14/11/17
Oakland - Oakland Colliseum 1/1/6/6
St. Louis - Busch Stadium 13/13/6/6
Pittsburg - Forbes Field 18/8/1/1

The below players will be added to some team's rosters to give them a "legal" 25 man roster for the AD and will be retained, if wanted, for the season. See earlier in this post for reasons why these players were chosen. Please consider these players on these teams rosters when determining which team you would like to draft.

Chicago Cubs - C John Boccabella (.50) & SP Bill Stoneman (1.67)

St. Louis Cardinals - RP Ron Willis (.50)

Atlanta Braves - RP Claude Raymond (.50)

Boston Red Sox - OF Ken Harrelson (3.27)

Pittsburgh Pirates - SP Jim Bunning (3.33)

Baltimore Orioles - OF Ron Stone (.50) & OF Tom Shopay (.50)

OAK, CIN, SF & NYM have more than 25 players on their rosters. The extra players can be picked up after the AD.

Start Time

Postby LMBombers » Sat Feb 25, 2006 6:24 am

Now that everything is set we need to decide when to start the league and how to determine the draft order.

I am ready anytime and would suggest draft order by state lottery. There has been some talk of using the reverse order of the last league as another possiblity.

I think we should start the league soon, before the 2006 game comes out where some people could loose interest in the 1969 game and drop out. This would also keep us occupied until the 06 game is here!

I also vote for sooner over later. I'm leaving for Florida on Wednesday, so would need to draft and load team by Tuesday evening. I'll be back on Sunday morning, so I'll be ready for the league to start next Monday. Lottery picks are ok with me and, as usual, I'll talk NY.
