That's basically what we have with the exception of the wild card exp teams...
Then Sea and Cal would go to AL and Mil to the NL? Even tho Mil-exp has been both AL and NL...
not proposing a change, just curious how you've done it in the past.
I've run 12 team 12 season all teams played once with a $150M cap, DH.
In all cases players were assigned based on a few players being placed on franchises they played for vs carded with a emphasis on competitive balance being met and to provide equity over multiple Themes.
Examples, sometimes Foxx is on Boston vs the A's. The A's are left out so the White Sox could get Collins and Simmons; Grove the Red Sox and Cochrane to Detroit.
I've run Themes where Milw Brewers and Texas were assigned to the Braves and Senators respectively due to the fact that their linkeage is so directly related to those franchises as well as leaving them out.
Themes have been set up with a lower cap for hardly used franchises and even then you have to assign players to provide balance.
IMO the ATG4 pricing really is unfair in the the modern set is put together differently vs prior to Expansion. They went out of their way to put average years for many modern day players vs the older set where the better years were used more often.
I'm sure the reason is to protect their other games but you have numerous allstars with barely useable cards in the modern set. Therefore, those Expansion franchises just can't compete with legendary franchise.
