Sorry for any confusion Thaibill. :?
When the 12 new players were added to the ATG4 pool, I just did a seach by name in the player pool to see which team each was assigned to. Only Merritt, Fosnow and Blanchard were in this Era, so I made an extra note of those three additions by their teams.

As far as Baker...when you pull up his card it says 1955 PHA, so he belongs with the Philadelphia/Kansas City Athletics. I would'nt want to get into the business of how accurate Strato/TSN is with each card.

I could really use Baker as my starting 2b is Don Zimmer. So many holes to fill on this Cubs roster no way I could come close with just 4 picks. He played with the Cubs and with Pirates but never with the A's. TSN should probably be informed of the oversight.

I'll start the league and send the password to the EAST.

As our league roster chart notes, the Cubs are missing one position player. Seems logical that missing body belongs to Gene Baker. I know it isn't our business to fix all of TSN's mistakes, but this one seems easy and painless to correct.

It's bad enough to make a guy play for the 1950s Cubs, but to banish him to Kansas City ranks as cruel and unusual punishment.

Thanks Marge for setting up the league.

As for Baker........

I love baseball, and the history of baseball, but I am not a knowledgeable expert by any means of who played for what team and for what years. So thats why I have tryed to keep everything as simple and fair as possible. I personally, don't have any problem with Baker being assigned to the Cubs. But thats me. I don't want to upset any other manager. This is our league, not mine, so I'll happily go with whatever the majority decide. So in this case please chime in and let the league know if Baker belongs with the Cub's or A's. :)

I would vote to only use the players that TSN/Strat assigned to each team plus those that were mentioned by the commish that went with each team. That is what we all used to evaluate each team before the draft. If there was a question about Baker I think it should have been discussed prior to picking the teams.

That being said.....I have no problem if we decide to give Baker to the Cubs.

I don't have a problem with Baker being a Cub....but playing for a Cardinals fan, don't know if I can handle that..  ...just kidding of course,it's probably punishment enough she got stuck with that group,so using Baker is certainly no problem with me unless we get the whole league wanting to make exceptions for their line-ups.... :)
