After reviewing all the suggestions I'm recommending the following:

1) Based on Lotto ( High to Low) Draft any 1 franchise.

2) Using Serpantine format, draft 2nd round of any remaining Franchises Pitching or Hitting Staff.

3) Final 3rd round, using format of 7,6,8,5,9,4,10,3,11,2,12,1 based on 1st rd selection, draft either remaining hitting or pitching staff depending on 2nd rd selection.

My basic philosophy was to not select a method that any manager had said was a deal breaker. Two of these would have been to have a straight combo or to make it complicated.

There is 1 other option and that is an adjusted COMBO Aligned franchise. Using a CATom suggestion and modifying it to incorporate Novie and my findings I can offer this as an option:

Note to everyone - I've read the 5 managers responses and went ahead and contacted the 3 other managers by PM to ask for their input as well.

All 6 managers responding at this point show no preference.

Since we will need to make a choice I wanted to indicate where my position is at this point:

1) I could go either way but as a premise I lean towards the pre selected combo franchises.

2) I do have a slight fear though that the odds are higher that with the Combo Franchises a low seed may be out there and the 11th or 12th pick may be not as competitive while I see little chance of that occuring with the other method.

3) If we either went the 3 round draft or if we did more research and maybe moved a player or so around or allowed trades a fair selection for everyone no matter what the draft choice could be held.

4) Just go with a choice and buyer beware. KISS is always a good way to go.

Please let me know your thoughts. Would like to get things set asap.

I have no fear of getting a bad cede and not being competitive. That is my standard operating procedure anyway. :lol:

My preference is to make things as fair as possible. I had one of the lower seeds in the combo league that just started, and there was a definite dropoff in quality between the first 6-7 teams drafted and the rest. Franchises like Chicago NL and Baltimore have only a couple holes to fill, while other franchises have gaping holes all over the place. I think the more we can do for parity, the better.
