wow, you leave for a few hours and there's pages of notes to catch up on! I'm just glad we're started and I'm saving all my money for Buck Martinez.

I remember watching Buck against the Twins at the old Met Stadium - he was wirey - one of those guys that only seemed to get a hit when it counted to beat your team. Like Amos Otis - my all-time greatest Twins killer when I was there or watching. Amos was money in the bank if I was around....

Minimum bid, I'd go for 20%. That's a bargain. $500K gets maybe too big of a bargain. If you've only allocated $500K per player for your last 4 players, then you get nickel guys, not Cy Young for a nickel just because no one put him up for auction.

That's my nickel :D

THE POLL THAT WAS SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM STARTING BID NOW SHOWS 10 MANAGERS VOTING AND STILL NO MAJORITY.

It would be nice if the two managers who have not voted did so tonight before the next auction round possibly begins. Then perhaps we will have a majority vote.

MINIMUM STARTING BID: [b:cc9d943f56][u:cc9d943f56]LET'S START AT 10%[/u:cc9d943f56][/b:cc9d943f56]

After reading over the majority of messages today, I would suggest we just go for 10% and get on with it.

I have heard a lot of mention about 20% and a lot of mention about $500,000. So my feeling is let's go with something in the middle.

SO I VOTE 10%. Hopefully we can get 6 others to agree or 7 others to agree on another amount before the next round begins.

AHMEN.
