Frank Fernandez - Stealing Addiction?

Postby franky35 » Tue Feb 21, 2006 1:24 pm

I am halfway through a season with Fernandez and he is 0 for 6 on stolen bases. I have him marked "do not steal" and the players behind him as "do not hit and run." Yet, he can't help himself. He thinks he's Joe Morgan. He's the only player that I've seen that has this problem.

Has anyone noticed this problem with Fernandez or is there anyone else with an uncontrollable urge to steal despite negative consequences?

What do you have team stealing and hit and run set at? If your team stealing is normal or higher even checking off do not steal means the player will still try to steal.

I have stealing set to normal or aggressive. So, that could be it, but I have several players marked "do not steal" (even ones with similar steal numbers like Mack Jones) and they don't have an attempt. Fernandez is my only player marked "do not steal" that has attempted a straight steal.

If you have ever played the CDROM version of SOM, that setting is listed as Do Not Steal If Held. I often wonder if that's the case in the TSN version and they just cut it off at Do Not Steal. If that's the case, and HAL doesn't hold non * stealers, players who are not held could possibly be trying to steal. Just my 2 centavos worth.
