ATG IV 16 event Franchise League

Well, the .85 is gone, but still options and that's what matters... not only at the position, but because 12M doesn't HAVE to be spent there I can go low and address other needs if I choose to... and that is the point.

If it makes you feel better, since the Yankees in this theme and Cap are so powerful  ... of those 174 pitchers, I only recorded those I found with the 200IP... missed the part in the convoluted rules that stated we could take any player every wearing the uniform in the 3rd portion of the team drafting.... and quite frankly I've wasted far too much time on this to begin with to spend more tme researching every cup of coffee Yankee. I'm down to 27 non-carded Yankee pitchers available.

I believe the Twins (Pjatscfy) are the only team to report not being able to field a 1 at every position (no 2Bs). That being said, I don't think that allowing everyone to be granted the rights to play 2s would really be fair. One player will not be the difference in winning a championship, and as I have demonstrated already, I think the Twins are playing with a handicap already, so this actually gives them a fairer playing field.

As you brought up eloquently before about managerial skill being a factor, [b:2f35110dfb] rules should be even for everyone. [/b:2f35110dfb]If the Twins need to play a 2 at one position, then everyone should be allowed to, or even forced to, use a 2 at one position. (or a 2 at 2B)

Rules are even for everyone.

Salary Cap

Postby jpgavin » Tue Jan 13, 2009 9:17 pm

There had been some discussion about increasing the maximum salary cap, but I think it makes more sense to keep it at $125 mil. In season 6, with the Twins, I had a great autodraft, got Carlton, Early Wynn, Speaker and Sisler and was able to pick up Cronin after the draft. I only missed on Bucketfoot. Even with such great luck, I still have a 5+ million backup outfielder, no pitcher valued under 1 million, and very few options for increasing my overall salary if I wanted to. So to try and keep the small market franchises competitive, let's keep the max salary cap at $125 mil.

Novie, I'm sorry that the $80 million cap is giving you agita, but I have the Chisox and decided to set the cap at a low $ value based on available players. I don't think I need to argue too strongly that a lower cap is better for a team like the Sox considering the talent pool available to this franchise.

I have 3 one is exclusively mine But now after reading all these rules 1000 times I realize I can draft Thomas as my DH after this draft and also have a LF that seriously doubt anyone else would draft because only team that could take him before autodraft has 2 very good ones

I also do not plan to re-write a whole new set of rules. They have been posted for over a week. I would much rather have unique (even if slightly flawed  ) rule sets than have nearly the same the set of rules and just switch franchises 15 times.
