Check your e-mail boxes, I sent out an email with the initial [b:2d114ac73a]Draftable Players List [/b:2d114ac73a] attached.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, check it over and make sure I haven't inadvertantky left anyone off the list or put someone on it that shouldn't be.

Bear in maind as well that about another 115-180 more names will be added once everyone makes their cuts.

As an added bonus, I included the Range Ratings chart from SOM's website. These ratings are subject to change of course, but are usually pretty acurate.

As always if you have questions, please ask.

Oh and let me know if you didn't get the email for some reason. I sometimes think I'm speaking to the mute because so few of you respond to my league posts here or my emails. :?

[quote:e8520c48d0="BBY"]are we permitted to drop prospects before the spring draft?[/quote:e8520c48d0]

What I meant was when our prospect rosters are full can we drop prospects. I have 3 prospect picks in the spring draft which will get me to 10 total. If I made a deal involving a prospect I would be permitted to drop one of my prospects that I already have to get under 10.

Interesting question, now I understand why you were asking...

I still think your anticipated promotions will take care of the problem, unless that is you are NOT going to make the 3 promotions I think you are.

If you are asking can you drop NOW, before you reach your limit, the answer is no.

You can only make a drop if forced to because you are over the limit after a trade transaction, or to clear room just prior to a draft. So if you were to aquire another prospect pick, just prior to the draft, you'd have the option of making a prospect drop or forfieting your lowest pick to keep your prospect roster at 10.

If you are that worried about the space, shop your prospects around, I know I for one have an intrest in every single one on your roster.
Nice drafting.

is the listing of Hideo Nomo as a draftable pitcher a test of our focus or is it a joke?

Trade announcement

Postby blsmith7 » Mon Jan 19, 2009 7:53 pm

Qk and I have agreed to a deal:

Qk will receive Brian Roberts, Ryan Doumit, and the #14 pick in the next prospect draft (which was originally his)

Smitty will receive Orlando Hudson, Miguel Montero, and picks #14 and #20 in the FA draft, plus pick #8 in the next prospect draft (which was originally mine).

Qk to confirm.

My apologies to CSHanna - with whom I was also involved in serious discussions concerning Roberts and who made a substantial offer, over which I went back and forth. Ultimately, having a 1 at 2B (albeit with a significant injury risk) with offensive upside and having three of the top 20 FA picks ruled the day.
