Please guys......love you all, but enough with the comments on BUCK. The younger Howser gets such amusement believing everyone thinks it is funny.
It ain't funny, it ain't never been funny, and it ain't won't be funny in the future.

But DOHO! You should be proud that your son has selected for an idol someone like Buck, who obviously never juiced (or did so very poorly) or cared much for his appearance. Or for his hitting prowess come to think of it. BUT, despite all these shortcomings, he was still a solid average defensive catcher - and you can't say that about everyone! :wink:

Buck was amazing, yes, but nothing compared to the immortal Bob Boone!
Boone showed up every day, framed pitches better than anyone, and didn't have an offensive bone in his body! Don't let Hal fool ya, Boone should have been 1(-7)e0 t-0 pb0, and that was when he was playin' hurt!

Okay, since you all have obviously ignored my request to stop posting about BUCK, I am choosing to cease posting any further messages, and I may also choose to dismantle the entire team I have put together so far!
That should teach you all, not to side with the younger Howser!
By the way, Rick Cerone, was by far and away, a better catcher than BUCK could ever dream of being. Or was it Rick Nelson?
