Iron Range League

I approved the El Duque drop. AP took Giambi instead.

Don't know if you have tried it, but the league pending list is an excellent way to monitor activity. I just did a check on all five categories and they are, well, very inactive.

There are only 46 teams awaiting league completion in the 80M group. There are no teams in open/public/TSN leagues. It has barely changed over the weekend. One TSN league finally filled Saturday.

Others:
50M - 1 team
60M - 3 teams
100M - 6 teams
200M - 5 teams

The league participation has been greatly reduced in recent months.

This new message board is another solid kick in the customer base's balls. I don't know about you, but I find very little to like about it, compared to the old one. I haven't found how to do PT yet (not that I've really looked). The page is crowded, complex and generally ugly.

Colonel, you around? If Cwolfson doesn't pick in 23 minutes, please go ahead and pick by hand.

I'd like to get started next Monday, but we'd have to move faster than this.

I'd like to get started Monday, too, but if the Sarge has a problem with that, I'll be happy to stand down.

As for the reduced league play, well, baseball season is winding down and Fantasy Football is starting, so this is probably a lousy time for SoM. Just a thought.

I didn't like the new boards either, but as I learn more about them, I like them a bit more. You can do PT by clicking on your name and going to yoru private area. There's lots to see and do. I honestly think the SoM folks tried to improve things.

the weasels are ubiquitos and viriulent! giambi, randa, BERNIE, burke, you can't sneak ANYONE through. you want him, you better GRAB HIM NOW, and there are too many weasels to leap between rounds.
well put BEEFS about the boards and participation down bk, they are BUTT UGLY, and the thing that pisses me off most, is that I can't post my famous weasle picks and other assorted tripe because I don't know how here. mtcsmiller's all time great post, "show me your old baseball photos" that had such great contributions from shoeless joe and old geezer is long gone...like most of my proxies. ive got two left of the eight or so I set, and we haven't even finished the 8th round. I think participation is also down because everyone's sick of these sets, and ofcourse atg2. need some fresh blood.

It's 6:24 am here in Sydney and I'm about to pick.

I was told there was no time limit on picks and don't get the Colonel being told to skip me after just 2 hours.

Boo hoo about Bernie ... was to be my DH/leadoff ... first guy I've lost I really had slotted in firmly and wasn't expecting to lose.

I don't see any way we start next Monday - we're not quite through eight rounds in six days so far; finishing 17 in the next seven, plus the final round here on the board doesn't seem likely. (No need to worry about the frenzy, of course.)

I think this time of year they've lost a lot to Fantasy Football. It may pick up during the World Series (the one in the three-dimensional world, I mean).

[quote:c1139762df="bkoron"]penngray's site is stopped on meat's pick #66. So everybody please carefully insert your last two rounds as proxies, his site will update, and the show will go on. meat will probably have to pick by hand.

CATom is up if you'd like to make a pick here on the message board.

[b:c1139762df]Remember, if 4 hours go by tomorrow, and the guy in front of you hasn't picked, you have the right to handpick (not proxy) and pass him up.[/b:c1139762df]

To prevent further confusion, the time limit, starting today, is 4 hours. The clock here has been running for 4 hours since AP's pick. But I'm gonna cut Cwolfson some slack, since AP picked and then re-picked, but the clock didn't re-set. Take as long as you want.

Oh BTW you're up again.
