I prefer results to effort. I am right now in a 200 million league draft, Being able to draft all 25 players from the complete ATGII roster is really fun. That Strat cannot work to incorporate Penn's website into theirs is unbelievablely poor. Without Penn's website some of the best leagues would have to work with these 2 bit boards that are 1/2 as good as the old ones in function.
The greatest equalizer for ATGII players has been Diamond Dope, this allows everyone the chance to see how players do in parks against pitchers yet the instructions on how to read a card on the official web site contains serious errors and outright misstatement. I am not one who says good job, when it has not been so. Why would Strat not want everyone to have accurate information? I imagine it is not worth the effort to the owners.
It is a very good product, which is accepted because it is the best available product. But this Bode Miller acceptance of effort and style points over results drives me nuts. We have players who care more about the product than the owner and work on their own to put better solutions out there.
They count on veterans to explain the errors of their own rules and work arounds to get pitchers to do what you'd want.
