I'm hoping Lackey has an injury free year in 2009, because he has been one of the better pitchers recently. I would have liked Gavin Floyd more but he was scooped up just before.
Hairston Jr could have an awesome card as well, along with Bruney. We're getting a little risky now![/quote:26164bb787]
According to the SOM fielding ratings for 2008 Bruney is in the regular card set, so TSN should have his card available. I hope [/quote:26164bb787]
Jim just a heads up, that isn't hard and fast, I've seen TSN exclude cards that are too good even for guys with over 250 ab's. I'll tell you right now Nelson Cruz will NOT get a card, it's too good, and Bruney is borderline.[/quote:26164bb787]
I figured it was worth the risk. I'm just hoping it pays off. Cruz is part of the regular set, but like you said TSN may omit him.[/quote:26164bb787]
TSN uses about 150 ab's as their cut off anyway, regardless of whether or not a guy is in the regular set, so given the facts that:
1. he only has 115 ab's
2. he didn't have a major injury
3. his card is second only to Pujols' (Taylor Teagarden's not with standing)
I 'm 99.9% certian he will NOT get a card, not trying to drag you down, but I want you to be prepared and have a back up.[/quote:26164bb787]
I hear you. He is my 5th OF. That is why I took the chance. They do have some low AB guys in this years set, (Rayburn Phelps, Ankiel, Redman) but non quite as good as Cruz.
