lol, jaybuc. I nominate your post to be the opening feed to gamers that want to know what's been going on all night. You're dead on.

Im going to bed, should have been a sleep 3 hours ago but a long day of travel left me awake too long.

Bernie has always been a great guy with this game, Larry was awesome too so none of my rants have been directed at them.

All this rant is for the top management at TSN, employees follow leadership and this shows where TSN leadership's head is and what priority TSN has for SOM and fantasy games. This is NOTHING new though becuase its a small percentage of revenue (20%) so I dont expect anything more and my rant will fall on deaf ears but atleast I posted my opinion.

This is unacceptable from a software/hardware expert point of view.

see you all tomorrow (I mean, later today ;) ) when we have 6x24 games to check what happened. ;)

good to see you penn. i agree that this shouldnt have happenned. heck im a addict her myself . i now gotta scroll down to see my active teams how they did. so ive started to play more and more teams like others. but this should not happen. backup plans would have been nice. i think bernie is doing the best he can and is trying. but i do believe a earlier post that tsn/sporting news should give something back to the players , lots of cash made on this game we play and a lil bone our way from time to time is a good recipee for loyalty.

[quote:83b54eb6cf]HECK!! I would have had ALL leagues run ON THE OLD SERVERS incase the NEW ONES DIDNT WORK. If the new ones didnt come up properly I would have switch over to the old ones where the results existed.

Why not run the results on the old servers which were not TOUCHED and run the results on the new servers to check if they worked? This is not rocket science it all. If the new ones worked make them the live servers.

Penngray is just mad because...he is absolutely 100% right!! You run new software in parrallel for a week or two...THEN...launch it. Geez guys.

Bernie...thanks for being a stand-up guy and taking important time away from fixing the problem to keep us informed.

I did'nt realize what an addict I have become until I went a 2nd morning without results. My major complaint is the stringing along. I would rather they say, No game until monday than some vague reference that it will be done later, only to come back later and find it is still not fixed. It's very disappointing.

This was all a devious plan just to smoke Penngray out of the woodwork. and get him on the boards again. Now that the Canuck has awakened, it will be fixed.

Alright--2 days is a little silly. A mirrored hot-swappable system, for the entire system, would prevent this yes, while they worked on the failing portion.

They need an Open VMS-based system...which by the way is exactly what a lot of the banking industry uses.

The only thing that has made this night/morning bearable for me has been reading Penn's postings! :)
