Old situation thread

Thanks

After reading through several pages of this - thanks for helping me realize that my addiction to this is mild and treatable.

I appreciate the insights of the techno-geeks (a true term of endearment and a compliment) and the ravings of those truely missing their SOM fixes (aso a term of endearment - you guys help make this game special to part time junkies like me) - personally I am drinking coffee and catching up on some reading and household projects and periodically checking to see if this version of the Bad News Hares are 11-4 or 5-10 or somewhere in between -
Enjoy the day and Bernie - our thoughts and prayers are with you - you must be sick and tired of hearing a computer sing "Bicycle built for two"

Rehaber2 and chalkboard solutions...

Your chalk board story reminded me of my 11th grade Trig teacher whose favorite joke was the one about a constipated mathmatician who worked it out with a pencil...

:) I guess I will pile on and say when companies do systems upgrades shouldn't they run them in parallel with old systems. Yes it costs more but it avoids situations like this.

I also want to know why we need to run 6 or maybe 9 games in a single night. Since this is a simulation game should these down days be like rain outs? Push the season 2 days. I should be allowed to juggle my pitching rotation now because there were 2 days without games. I have a big, at least in my mind, for first place. I have my 3,4 and 1 starters scheduled to go against 1,2,3 for my opponent. I should now be allowed to change my rotation to 1,2,3 and he should be allowed to play his injured player who had 2 more games to go on the injury list. Jut a thought. Your already reprogramming so why not add a few more lines of code to put this in.

A third thought. Any chance of ever being allowed to "play" a game Vs an opponent where we get to make the actual manager decisions and watch the roll of the dice. That way I can prevent my opponent from letting Woody Fryman throw 10 2/3 innings of relief and throw 205 pitches even though he is a R3. I'm talking 1 game per league a night or week. Kind of like the old Saturday afternoon game of the week .

it doesn't give you full team stats, but you can see how your pitchers/players did for 3 of last nights games if you click on your player and scroll down to see the "Last 10 games". a small quick fix for us SOM junkies!!!

I'm not the type to complain, BUT I did make changes to my per game starters for 1 league and it's showing that a couple of stiffs are going to pitch instead. When I go to per game starters, my changes are not there.
I don't think it's fair that I have to put up with that kind of BS. A free team for everyone who is currently playing SOM is the least they should do for us.
