[quote:5e7bcd33cd="nels52"]I sympathize with the folks trying to fix things, but let's not sugar-coat the situation; [i:5e7bcd33cd][b:5e7bcd33cd]what has happened is is outrageous[/b:5e7bcd33cd][/i:5e7bcd33cd]. We paid money to play this game and now we're getting shabby treatment. Some have suggested a season credit for each team they have. [i:5e7bcd33cd]I absolutely agree with this.[/i:5e7bcd33cd]

We deserve more regular updates on this fiasco at the very least.[b:5e7bcd33cd][/b:5e7bcd33cd][/quote:5e7bcd33cd]

Just because you pay for something doesn't mean you will always get your money's worth. Keeping it in baseball, what if you are on a vacation and decide to catch a ballgame in whatever city you are in. Then the ballgame gets rained out. Do you get your money back? No. They will honor your ticket in a month or two when that team travels back to that city but you won't be there then.

What I am trying to say is TSN SOM is the best game of it's kind out there that I know of and has been providing us hours and hours of fun entertainment. The past two mornings without our SOM fix has been extremely painful but I for one am willing to wait it out. Basically I don't have any other option in order to get the game that I love back online.

still waiting.......waiting.....waiting :( I even had to resort to going outside and mowing my lawn for the first time this spring. Yes it is springtime here in FL. SOM please come back so that I don't have to do anymore chores.

At least the Spring Training games are just around the corner!

I imagine Bernie's laboring under management-imposed financial restrictions that led to this insane foulup...why handle the switchover reasonably like any financial institution or airline or restaurant would, when it would cost some of the $$ we're paying for the computer services in question? Why not just trust that the mania that keeps idiots like us paying $25 a team, will keep us coming back despite the complete disregard for Strat-O customers this mess demonstrates? It isn't Bernie's fault, and I imagine he is now doubting the wisdom of his coming back. But someone should have a truckload of steaming cow patties delivered to the swimming pool of whichever bald-headed consumptive beancounter IS responsible for this unconscionable screwup! PLEASE GOD, provide an alternative so we can all go there and the beancounter in question can be properly skewered by his management...otherwise the ass will probably get a bonus in the long run for saving TSN the money is did by not working the bugs out of the new system before going online with it. I GOT YOUR GUINEA PIG RIGHT HERE

As I sit here twitching, I feel a little less charitable then yesterday. I suggested more 2006 teases as compensation. Now, added to the teases, I think everyone affected should get at least one game credit. And Bernie, if you ever got Jessica's phone number, you can cough that up too :)

YES IT MATTERS

Postby pokey2776 » Sat Feb 25, 2006 10:29 am

Bernie never mind Answering the stupid questions ...Get back trying to fix it.. I have no idea about computers but I have run a small company ..You do Not spend time answering stupid questions you fix the problem. I hope you have more help after this as it shows you need it... Full TIME Help.. .. HIRE SOME HELP ............AND TO THOSE WHO SAY WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME PREDICAMENT ..STUFF IT.. IF WE ARE LAST AND ARE PLAYERS WHO DO NOT FINE TUNE THERE TEAMS EVERY DAY THEN WE ARE BUT IF WE CARE AND FINE TUNE AND ROTATE CERTAIN STARTERS VERSES CERTAIN TEAMS AND HAVE OUR ON WEIRD WAY OF DOING THINGS AND IF WE ARE FIGHTING FOR THE LAST 6 GAMES OR THE WAITING TO SEE HOW A PLAYER DOES UNTIL GAME 142 TO DECIDE TO KEEP OR DUMP HIM . THEN MY FRIEND IT MATTERS.. SO LET HIM GET TO WORK AND EARN HIS MONEY LIKE WE "ALL" DO ...GIVE HIM SYMPATHY AFTER IT IS BACK ON LINE AND ONLY ASK PERTANENT QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME THAT MAY BE NEEDED IF TONIGHT IS NOT ABLE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED LIKE GAME 142..

Jesus, I like fantasy sports and particularly enjoy SOM but some of these guys posts are ridiculous. Mow the lawn, work some O/T, play with the kids-you'll live a day or two without strat. These things happen from time to time. Servers upgrades can be tricky and there are always kinks to be worked out. Bernie, I hope you went home and got some well deserved sleep-I know I would. I think it is also misplaced to compare multi-million dollar companies doing a server upgrade (companies that do really important things like create jobs, cover health insurance premiums, pay salaries) to a FANTASY GAME that does an upgrade. It just isn't as important in the scheme of things and accordingly, it seems, TSN probably didn't budget as much resources as necessary. More than likely TSN needs to buy additional servers to support the new upgrades?? (happens all the time) SOM/TSN has a great product on the market so you guys need to relax. I like that 6 games are being played. All this whining about making changes, is not that relevant. When you consider that you never know what rolls you are going to get, or what decisions HAL is going to make, tweaking your settings seems to like a minimal impact. The facade is there that we are making some "managerial decisions", but we really don;t know-do we? "Theres a sucker born every minute" and I suspect we all fall into that category to a certain degree - this is why it's called FANTASY, you know, like make believe?
