So Bernie's last update was at 2:45 in the morning. What's the latest? Are thye trying to run Thursday Nights and Friday Nights games today, or is the entire system still down?

All we can do, is my favorite thing... trade!!!

Computer problems? I'm sure none of us can relate to that. Maybe JNO can let us into his alternative universe where everything is apparently perfect.

For the record...I was absolutely not bashing Bernie...or Andrey. It is TSN's fault, and even though this is just mindless entertainment, it is mindless entertainment that we pay $25 a team for. I expect to get what I pay for whether it's for a battery, a computer, a car, or for a sim baseball league.

Since TSN makes money off of this, they need to make up for this fiasco with compensation. That's the only way I'll ever spend anymore money on this game.

[color=yellow:83c20f2b42][/color:83c20f2b42] Are we playing under the caution flag....or is this the longest rain delay in Strat-o-matic history....I hope the Zamboni gets all of the water off of the turf at the Big "O"...or did part of the stadium break off again.....

HOW ABOUT MOVING EVERYTHING BACK ONE WEEK? That would give you guys some sleep, and plenty of time to get things running and fine tuned. And it would then put everything back in its original state.

bashing the bashers

Postby franky35 » Sat Feb 25, 2006 11:25 am

If I were TSN, I would appreciate ALL the comments, not just the patient or complimentary posts.

I run a small business and I LOVE customer feedback, especially compliants. Strange? No, because I depend on repeat business, so if there is something a customer doesn't like, I really need to hear about it. I'll fix it. There is a rule of thumb in business that for every complaint you get, there are 10 more customers that have the same problem but don't bother to complain.

So the people posting that are angry at the complainers, you have that right, but I wouldn't want you in my business. To improve their product, TSN absolutely requires honest customer feedback.

As a first time player of this I have to say I will probably never play again. I have all the sympathy in the world for those trying to fix the problem and I wish you the best of luck. But as a PAYING customer I will likely take my business elsewhere from now on. You guys are right it's unreasonalbe to compare this to a fortune 500 company. However, I am a customer of this service and I did not inted on paying my hard earned money for major malfunctions such as this. You're right this is a "fantasy" game and while it does not take up much of my life I expect the service I pay for to be provided up to the expectations I had when I decided to pay my money..and this certainly has not met my expectations. That being said, I wish everyone at the TSN good luck getting the problem solved and I know it's most likely not anyone in particulars fault just some poor planning. So hopefully it gets figured out soon and I can enjoy the rest of my one time purchase with no further delays.

TSN is a big business. This may be a fantasy game and all, but it isn't like it is run out of some guy's garage and we all should view this IT collapse as simply a reflection of that. Forgetting teams that result from free credits, each league represents $300 in fees to TSN. There have been thousands of leagues for the '04 cards alone. Am I the only one who thinks that all adds up to big money? So what if this is a game - of course it is. Real major league baseball is "only a game" too. Costs about as much to attend a game. You go to a game and the lights go out, they give you comps to another game for free...essentially refunding you the entry fee. Being a daily tinkerer with my team (only one at a time here), I can certainly forsee problems stemming from having multiple nights' games run all together. If I miss the playoffs because of one game or two in the standings, I won't be mollified by the argument that my opponents had the same problem in this period. This doesn't matter to the autopilot teams.
