Well after the first crash, two of the six games had run in a couple of my 69 leagues. After the second crash that's up to three.

Well I don't have anything against Penngray or PBTR or anyone else...
...I do have to giggle though that the same folks who demand compensation for their entertainment dollar not meeting their expectation are the same people who won't walk away from the game with their entry fee in hand.

As long as you're willing to plunk down money, they have a largely inelastic demand function. Big money sports teams won't stop paying their players exorbitant salaries until they run out of the revenue to do it with--that means not paying for the pay per view, not going to $25 a ticket ballgames, not allowing your local govt to finance the stadiums, and not buying licensed merchandise.

For us it means--walk with your wallet. Complaining through your donut hole doesn't affect their bottom line. That's what happens with monopolies. That's why I'll keep my Mac instead of complaining about Microsoft--I avoid the BSOD by not paying for it. And refuse to pay for ballpark tix anymore.

Walk with the wallet if you feel that strongly--then a BCA gets done by the company to decide if changes are good business or getting out of the business altogether makes sense.

Don't blame capitalism--that's ridiculous. Blame an addicted customer base (I'm there with you!) with no other product to choose from. Put money where the mouth is and either a) come up with a new way to sim out seasons or b) throw enough money at Hal Richman and present him with a well-researched and supported business plan to convince him it's worth his while.

It's really quite simple--it's just not easy--there's a difference. And no thanks--you can keep socialism. But let's not turn this into the bullpen!

I love you guys man...can't we all just get along?!?!

Bernie - keep banging it till it works.

An update soon would be nice.

Everyone else, go outside, shovel snow, go swimming or play with your kids. Whatever is appropriate in your neck of the woods. Take a break and prove to your self that you can live without SOM for a while. I know it's frustrating and I have noticed the development of a nervous twitch in my left eye, but we all need to get on with our "other" lives for a bit.

Now, if I'm back here tomorrow with no box scores to review, I most likely won't be so chillin.......

PS - why do we always picture the evil Management Type to be bald? GEEZ, I hate that. Not that I myself am bald or anyting like that....Ms. Alba, if you're reading this, really, I'm not......really.

You're right. I just did my normal Saturday marathon training run in 30 degree weather under clear blue sky and it was great!

Completely reinvigorated my mouse-clicking tendons so I don't get a cramp.

an this just goes on and on... kinda bummer that I have 2 teams barely hanging on to first for the last 6 games of the season and still dont know their fates..plus havent been able to rest the injury prone guys before the playoffs if I'd clinched. Still I'm sure bernie and crew are trying hard to fix this.... but the waiting is tough..

you have a point. I have NOT paid to see a football, baseball, or basketball game in over 10 years. I hate basketball anyway as the players are a bunch of thugs who should be in prison.

I only watch football play-offs...and I'll watch my Cardinals in MLB on TV.

My only high addiction sport is the NHL...even after the stupid lock-out. But now the NHL has the fairest economic system and looks like it has the brightest future of any sport. (Yes I know it'll never be #1 in revenue...but it was beating the NBA in 1993-94 before their first strike and can do so again).

I have the NHL center-ice pkg...for only $129 you get EVERY NHL game. And the players play more out of love for the game than in any other sport.

Hence this is why I choose to vote with my pocketbook in this case.

If you went to a restaurant and paid $20 for a Filet Mignon and ordered it rare and it came out well-done, you'd want another cooked correctly...and they'd also give it to you free...or give you a free dessert. COMPENSATION. It's how the world works!!!!!

Big business?
What is the STRAT baseball group...a community of what....350 very active participants and 1500 additional sometime participants?
If this is big business, then I want in.... :-)

I suspect that this is hardly a big money generator for TSN....

Yes Mood--and if they screwed up your steak twice would you ever go back?
Maybe--if it were the only place that sold steak.
