Secondly, I had a bad feeling something like this was gonna happen. I'm no expert but I know enough to know that it's never that easy to switch over everything. "Stuff" happens. Sorry, but anybody who didn't think that complications were possible is living in a different world than me.

This shit happens all the time but we never see it because when an upgrade fails the recovery plan kicks in and processing switches to the pre-upgrade environment.

[color=darkblue:56dbc4ce96][/color:56dbc4ce96]Having just read several more of these blogs, I gotta ask....do some of you ever see the sun? Or clouds? If you have a date with a g/f or wife, do you cancel because you want to work on your SOM teams? I mean I miss having my coffee and reading my boxscores every morning, but if they are down, I can actually live with it....Let these guys have some peace, and fix the problems! Good luck tekkies, get some rest, come back and make sure the problems are solved, without worrying about the guy who has time to have 8 teams at once, with and injury prone superstar that might get hurt....I mean jeez, if you pick that player, in the first place, you should have to take your medicine!

Why are 2005 and ATG getting priority over other leagues? Why are they "easier" to run? I don't see the difference. I am in a 2003 league and am not pleased with being second best to other leagues. Did I join the wrong league [b:6070697a96]BERNIE[/b:6070697a96]?

If so let me know and maybe TSN can get me into a league that will receive some attention.

I'm a very unhappy TSN customer, but have nothing but respect for Bernie, and confidence he'll make this a much better game than ever before.

As frustrated as I am, it's nowhere near the level of bad I feel for Bernie now. WOW! as was mentioned a few times earlier, fix it, put it on hold til next Thursday, give yourself a few days off to get your sanity back.

Funny thing is, if you stepped back, cleared your head outside the office, an obvious solution may come to you. But to choose to work, what's been probably non stop for these couple of days is a kind of dedication that's admirable (not necessarily deserved by TSN). I'm glad you're on our side.

Probably someone tripped over the power cord and pulled it out of the wall when they were rushing to help Andrey. 8)

Amen to everything Nevdully just said. I think the best solution would be to put everything on hold until next thursday. Just declare a one week break. Stop trying to run the leagues and focus on fixing the overall system. If you made this decision you could probably go home for the weekend and get some rest. Experience tells me when you return Monday morning rested everything would go smoother.

And if everyone knew things were not going to be up until next Thursday they would hopefully go do something else and no be constantly waiting and complaining. A watched pot never boils.

Hey guys I am not upset with BERNIE but I got to let you know that I am not happy with TSN. This whole situation smells of incompetence and poor planning somewhere. I mean if this happened in any other service industry there would be some sort of compensation. If my ISP had this problem they would give me a credit (I know I have received credits before) if my web-site provider for my vocation did this they'd give me a credit. It is simply the right thing to do.

Last night I stood up for TSN and Bernie into the wee hours of the morning but now I am ticked off.

Not knowing when this is going to be fixed is unacceptable. It is one thing to have problems it is another not to have a solution. And TSN does not have a solution. That certainly shakes my confidence in TSN

Don't laugh, this happened in one shop on back to back nights. I think they had the guy's feet amputated or at least shortened by a couple of toes!!!

Back in the old mainframe days they used to say there was one error per 12 lines of code (or some thing like that), with the space shuttle's code being a lot better BUT not error free (any NASA software engineers out there?). Hey bernie this is just TSN's SoM, no big deal, nobody's gonna crash and burn here.

What about new leagues!

Postby boss_of_um » Sat Feb 25, 2006 4:55 pm

I understand that playoffs took priority. Next game 2005 games and ATG II games for Thursday. What about NEW LEAGUES that are still waiting to draft from Thursday and Friday? New leagues are where new revenue is. I would think those should take some priority, but hten again it might be a more complicated system to run drafts.
I hope TSN got some money back from the people responsible for this "upgrade" and that they take that money and cut us customers a break.
