MOTHER OF ALL FRENZIES tonight! Treyomo has PW in his PM.

Postby fowldawg » Sat Feb 25, 2006 8:04 pm

Other than tonight or tomorrow morning the only other time next week that I can definitely frenzy is Wednesday evening. Other than that Ill be hit and miss. You guys can go ahead without me.

Being that waivers are running normal at the normal time i would say there is a chance that same will be true of drafts.

modmark,

I really feel for you...you've been trying to manage an almost impossible situation (and doing an excellent job being a mediator).

I don't believe we'll be able to coordinate everyone's schedule. Assuming this is possible, I'd suggest we disband the league and ask TSN to issue a credit to each manager.

Then, you could start another sign up thread when the site issues are resolved. Hopefully, most of us can still participate. But at least those that cannot will not be penalized.

Just a suggestion, but I think you should fire off a personal email to Bernie asking him to put this league on hold or allowing people to back out of it for the time being. If you explain the nature of the League, the "Mother of All Frenzies," I'm sure he would work something out to accommodate us. That seems only fair to me considering the $ people spent and the fact that people signed up to do this at a specific time that has come and gone. It's not like were asking for a refund here. Just a way to redo this league when everyone can indeed participate.Just a suggestion though.

UPDATE

GOOD NEWS, all things considered. The network guys found the fix and we're well on our way towards completing Thursday night's games. I'll post a more official note soon, but be prepared for 6 more regular season games to be played tonight (hopefully for real this time). I know some of you would prefer everything to be pushed back 1 day, but this is the only way I can restore sanity to this mess.

Also would everyone be so kind as to refrain from the "Here we go again"s? Honestly, I'm doing the best I can.

Guys, I took the above suggestions, and just sent Bernie this message via his personal e-mail:[/color:ac1bcad261]
Hi Bernie. What a nightmare few days for you guys! I know you are probably frazzled beyond words. I have no idea when you will read this. I imagine you will have a multitude of e-mails to go through. However, we have a league that, due to the delay in running drafts, is very fouled up. It is an ATG2 league, $80m, no DH, titled The Mother of All Frenzies League. It is a theme league. Basically, we all drafted "dummy" rosters with about 90% players no one ever has on their rosters. Roughly about $70m of our $80m cap was spent. The theme was that, when the draft went off Sat. morning, around 12:10am EST or so (as was usual), we would all turn over our ENTIRE rosters. With all the good players on the FA wire, it was to be a mad, mad frenzy (hence the name of the league). Well, with the draft not occurring, obviously this whole thing has been undone. We have discussed various things, with no clear consensus on what to do. We have rosters we don't want, and with the Sat. morning frenzy window gone, several players who can't be around to coordinate a timed frenzy among ourselves. Is it possible for you to disband this league, and issue the 12 of us a credit for the teams we put in? We will probably try and do this theme in the near future. But as of now, this theme, and league, is dead in the water. You can e-mail me directly at mhinrichs@ne.rr.com, or post on our thread, The Mother of All Frenzies, in the ATG2 forum, and let us know what can/will be done. I know you have a lot to attend to. I appreciate all your efforts in what has been a terrible weekend, work wise, for you, and for all us players. Thanks for your attention.
Sincerely,
Mark Hinrichs
I have no idea when he will read this and how quickly he will respond. For now, just don't do anything, should the league draft ever happen. Let's give him a chance to address this (might take a couple of days, I am guessing). I don't know what else to do. :([/color:ac1bcad261]

Assuming he does not get to this for a few days (at least), I hope no one picks up any of the players if the draft does go off. I've always wanted to see these scrubs in action!!! I just fear someone might panic thinking this league will play all 162 games and pick up players.

Well, the draft just went off...

I have to imagine they could reset the league to pre-draft status and we could try to do it again next Friday. Let's just have patience with Bernie.

In the mean time, I think I'll monkey around with my rotation and lineups...

Mark, nice job and well said. i do think we should give Bernie some time to get back with us on this since as a group, don't think we can find a time that works out for everybody right now. it might take a couple of days but i'm sure he will respond when he can. iv'e always gotten quick responses from emailing him directly. This is a great concept and i would like to start this again when everybody is in on it. modmark, again, nice job for working so hard putting this together and trying to keep up with everybody's schedule throughout this ordeal. This was an unexpected bad twist of events.
