SITUATION UPDATE: CAUGHT UP

Postby tersignf » Sun Feb 26, 2006 1:30 pm

and the posters who publicly come on this thread and complain about spending their last pennies on an online baseball team, of not having enough money because of a kid and a part time job, and demand compensation because of that, are what, exactly...? Responsible adults?

I think your insulting descriptor accurately describes the aforementioned example I've given.

So this thread was on topic for all the other posts? Folks can write whatever they choose--if it's public, it's community property. All the more reason why publicly admitting one's own loser tendencies to justify a credit is amusing.

(but I agree with Bacchus--credits or something may be appropriate for some who had large amounts of rosters impacted)

i'm sure there are other businesses where problems like this have come up but i would guess not many where people had the means to congratulate, or complain constantly. if my bank had experienced this kind of trouble, i wouldn't have heard anything from them. i think you did a great job keeping us updated on your progress and i appreciate all the hard work and dedication involved in this project. My thanks to you and your crew. Glad things are finally running smooth again. :D

Thanks tersignf and goredsox33 for taking my post totally out of context. Did I say I wanted compensation??? NO!! What I said is I work parttime and am a stay at home dad. I didn't say I was poor nor did I say it is the Govt's fault. What I said is $ 25.00 is a big deal to me!!!!! This is a hobby of mine---everyone has their hobbies or they go insane---whether they are poor, rich, black, white, or purple!!!

Thank you for showing how ignorant 2 people really can be and how snobbish people can be. I was upset because we lost our ability to control our own team that we purchased. I wanted it to start back over in a week other than play 9 games in 1 night.

THIS WAS MY BEEF!! Now my beef is about 2 SNOBS!!!

Bernie/Andrey all involved, thank you for the persistence you demonstrated.

Free credit or no free credit, I'm here for the long haul. It would be nice but not necessary.

Saying that, how about some free info. I need to dedicate some money for 2-5packs that I will be getting day one. I want to try several scenarios on that first day so that I'm ready for the tour, vet leagues, etc. When do I need to have a couple hundred there for use? I other words, when is 2006 being installed and ready to go online?

I agree. $25 is a big deal to me, too, even though I have a full-time job and don't really have any money concerns. My beef wasn't with waiting for the boxscores, it was with changing the rules of the game that I paid to play in mid-stream (actually, for my league, mid-stream spanned game 142, so that kind of sucked). The games should have been delayed, maintining the 3 games per night standard as laid out in the rules / FAQ.

That being said, I don't blame the TSN staff that worked so hard to get the site up and running. I blame TSN.

Thanks mweaver!!

Glad I'm not the only one who cares about money. I agree completely with you. I don't really blame anyone except for the one who gave the go ahead to play 9 in one night. That was an extreme solution.

Guys, Bernie explained the reason for playing 6 or later 9 games in one night already. And besides that, when you are working in a customer based business and something goes wrong there are a few constants to fixing the problem. First you let the customers know what is going on and that you are on the case. Second you get the problem fixed as soon as possible. And third you make it up to them somehow so the customer thinks it is fair. Try to remember that they are only human and everyone makes mistakes from time to time.

They have done 1 and 2 and will get to 3 I'm sure, just give them a little time. They only got the whole thing fixed this morning and now they need some sleep.

Awesome that the site is back up, to bad my team missed the playoffs. But I'm a red sox fan so I can say "There's always next year!"
