Baker Bowl help

Postby andycummings65 » Mon Feb 27, 2006 10:14 am

Any help with this Baker Bowl team would be greatly appreciated. My offense seems to be working ok, and I thought that if I had an ERA of around 4.50 and a WHIP of around 1.50, I would be ok in baker.
The other parks in my division are griffith, west side, fenway86.

Should I just sit tight with what I have, or upgrade somewhere?
Batting Leibold, McDougald, Mays, Banks, R.Jackson, Campanella, Mathews, & Cash vs LHP and Leibold, McDougald, Mays, R.Jackson, Banks, Mathews, Campanella, and Cash vs RHP. I've got my relief usage set to Aggressive, Fryman & Quiz as setups, No Closer assigned.

Pleis & Ruether are available on FA list, but I don't know that they'd upgrade the starters I already have that much, if at all.

Glad to help, please post a good team link. Go to stats page, click on your team and copy that URL, it should contain a 5 digit user id.

That said, it is normally unwise to drop/add during the season. My rules are never look at stats till at least 24 games are finished, no drops until game 100 unless I have made a serious error and make roster tweaks around game 124 if there is a clear opportunity to get a player that would help your team dramatically such as getting Ennis vs 60% LH SPs.

Best of luck, sschu

Juggle your lineup a little:

Liebold
McDougald
Mathews
Mays
Banks
Campy (R. Jackson)
R. Jackson (Campy)
Cash

Mathews is a great 3 hitter.

Right now there is no need for any changes IMHO. Your hitters for the most part are a bit underperforming, except Eddie who is doing lousy. That said, there are some good pitchers in your division, Brown, Pfiester, Hubbell and 7 LH SPs that are contributing to Mathews problems. You should expect to see better numbers from Mays and Ernie. In retrospect, Nemo and Cash should have been RHs.

Your pitching is doing pretty good. Suggest Normal RP useage and slow hook on the SPs.

You have scored more runs that allowed, so by rights you should be at 500. Your run efficiency is good.

Wait till at least game 80 before making any changes, then it would seem that Reggie and Nemo are candidates for change only because of the many LH SPs in your division.

It looks like you have already made some roster moves, suggest you wait, if you make a major move right now almost assuredly you will not get any better in the long run.

Best of luck, sschu

Would my lineup be better replacing Leibold & R.Jackson with Cobb & Ennis (would also have to give up Demaree for a .60 SP) OR replacing R.Jackson & N.Cash for Ennis & Rip Collins(would instead give up Santiago)? or just keep sitting tight in 4th?
