I have two SSs, I will probably keep Jose Reyes, but Orlando Cabrera is available, if anyone is interested.

[quote:77c4b6b98d]So after 10 pm opening day, drafted free agents are open to all? One other question related to the Todd Helton example, you said he can be picked up during the season. (not in preseason?) [/quote:77c4b6b98d]

Answer - 1) yes, after 10 PM on opening day, all drafted FAs (not from a base team) who are not on the roster of the team that drafted them become FAs. 2) If he's not drafted at all, he may be picked up in preseason as well, as long as you maintain the other roster parameters.

I promised not to complain to loudly about it, so this will be my last email on the subject (I hate myself for even doing this as I HATE whiners) but I'd be surprised if the third round comes from the AL. I've been looking at what's left there as it is, and it aint much.

At least Comerica is a nice park ot play in.

Had I been smart I'd have chosen an AL team first, DOH! :?

ok, smitty got it.

Yikes, tough choice. I was really leaning toward a different team, but could not be sure if a couple key players will be in the TSN game. If they are, I will really be bummed. Just could not pass up having at least one potential big SP, and there aren't many left. Somebody is hoarding them all.

sknsfan - I would have taken the Braves first too. Not many holes, great defensively, and some solid pitching. I think you'll be able to plug the few holes you've got with your other team (Seattle? Tampa Bay?) and through FAs.

Well Vince took the one player I really wanted.

I'm guessing sknsfan will take my 2nd choice.

Now it get's hard all over again.

Could I make one small request - I hate to do this since we're rolling along so well on the draft - but could we start round three tomorrow morning at 9 am?

I admit that while I'm a huge Bravos fan, when you get past the NL East, I'm a little behind in my team knowledge. It would give me the night to at least look over what I need and who is out there.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Hate the Orioles for stealing my pitching coach!!

As a die hard Phillies fan I say stick it to the Braves fan. :D :D

I'd like to see if anyone would like to trade so I don't have any problem waiting until tomorrow am. We've gone pretty quick so far.

BTW skns, I respect the Braves - I absolutely hate the Mets.

YEAH!! God do I hate the Mets!!

But no one as much as the Yankees. I don't think I hate any team as much as I hate the Yankees. One of the reasons my last girl friend and I split up was she was a Yankees fan. Seriously. We couldn't get past it. Too bad too, because she was a huge sports fan. A perfect date for her was hot dogs a sporting event.

Phils are looking pretty good this year. Unloading Thome was the right thing to do.
